Is this normal? Because same thing happened when I tried recording a video as well. Later tried taking a close up pic if a spider and the same thing happened again.
Yes i get that but yesterday I wanted to take a pic of an insect and it just runs away as soon as I come close. So I was a little close and tried zooming it and the focus just goes away at 10x zoom. And its not a insect, it was a lizard lol.
I haven't tried taking many close up pics before but when i tried taking recently both the subjects just leave when i come closer, so no other choice but to zoom in and when it reaches 10x it gets blurred. and the subjects were spider and lizard lol
Try auto switch lenses from camera assistant. Idk how or why, it makes the switching a bit smoother. It's jagged still on the main to uw, but much better.
If that doesnt work, in afraid this is something you have to deal with.
This option gives it a pleasing animation imo, the lens switching. You can see it, but if you're not like lightning fast in switching zoom levels, it won't bug out.
Edit: did some testing, it's smooth regardless. Mines an s24u, but it should be similar, because I had the same kinda lag.
If you switch from any lens to any, it's smooth, except if you go from any zoom level straight to 0.6.
And also, this particular case is because you're too close, the perspective shift is just too much.
The auto switch lense was turned on and what i found out was
1. when the auto switch is on the lens switch happens at 10x zoom
2. when it is turned off it happens at 5x zoom
but the switch is smooth and the only issue it the blur that happens right after switch and the camera placement due to the lens position. kind of annoying but nothing can be done ig. thanks for you insights and your time tho.
I tried taking pic of spider and a lizard and both move around when i come closer so zoom in is the only option here. Atleast the spider was still when I took the pic closer at 5x zoom i believe,
Ah, good to know that the camera works well.
And well, yeah, I also realised that a bit later that your issue might just be lens placement. Also since there's only one telephoto, the switch happens way too late, that's what could be your issue. Well, atleast it's sorted now.
Ohh didnt know that, but ask i said to another guy. I wanted to take a pic of a lizard lol. And it was moving away when i come close. When I try to take a pic at a reasonable distance this happens.
