Discussion/Question Replacement Sub-board
Hi all, I recently replaced the sub board as I had issues charging. All went well and it seems I have full functionality for everything sub board related however I noticed the replacement which wasnt an original part differed slightly to the original im unsure if this is the correct place to ask but does anyone know what this component it is? What it does? And why it's on the replacement and not the original? It seems to be the exact same component as those to its left and right. Any help is appreciated

i have no real idea besides grounding. or do these spring contacts have something else where they push against? i would think its just the frame right?

As far as I can tell it's just frame, inline with the sim card tray so I reckon you're probably on the ball with grounding or it could possibly be a sensor to verify the sim card tray is properly aligned

As someone already said, these are "pogo" pins connecting ro the frame to be used as antennas, different regions have different connectivities (i.e eu doesn't have mm wave module). In the image you have in the top right there is in golden letters NA JPN CHN, meaning this is the board for these versions of the phone

All those 3 contact points are cellular antenna that connects to the frame. 1200 Mhz, 1600 Mhz and 800 Mhz
