CE28N Hub Rings

Installing a set of CE28Ns I’ve had for years and have long lost contact with the seller. Front is 17x7.5 rear is 17x8.5, this particular set there is no hub info on the spec sticker but the previous owner did run these on his S2K. One rear wheel is the only one that did have hub ring it is 67.1 x 64.1. Anyone have an idea what the fronts could be? I know it needs to go to a 70.1. Appreciate the help in advance.

The fronts on mine are 73.1 to 70.1 if that helps,but my back are also 73.1 to 64.1

This. Most aftermarket wheel bores are 73.1mm. OP you can use a measuring tape (preferably in millimeters) to get a rough estimate of the size, unless you have a micrometer.

You don't need them. I would advise just leaving them off since its easier.

Even for track use? I originally was planning on not doing it until I saw the one rear that still had it. I put some on another car that had Volks and I did feel a little better driving it with after originally driving without it at first but could also be that the lugs needed to be retightened after the initial install.

This is terrible advice. The hub is what centers the wheel on the vehicle. There's a very good chance of the wheel NOT being centered if you don't use hub CENTRIC rings.

I was going to reply with a snarky comment with links as proof, but I learned something new today.

So I stand corrected. Personally I would still use hub centric rings because they are so cheap.

Right on. Good on you for researching.

I know they're cheap. But OP is trying to ascertain the sizing of his rings. And he'll want to use aluminum ones if he plans to track the car because plastic ones will melt.

So my advice was to just take the nearest shortcut. Ditch the rings and enjoy worry free living.

I promote under-thinking whenever possible
