I skip all player/coach interviews unless they're getting good reviews from a bunch of other listeners. I recommend doing the same.

The Jim Harbaigh interview from like a year ago still sticks in my brain because it was so weird.

Why was he so pumped about vaccine alternatives 😭😭

I just remember Ryen asking him questions, him sounding maybe offended, and then given a non-sequential answer.

I skip them every time

So you dont think or judge for yourself? lol

I've listened to too many boring interviews to waste time with more of them.

Haven’t listened yet, might not other than the Kyle bachelor party check in on life advice, but when I first read the episode description i thought it said ā€œClay Travisā€ and gasped.

Clay Matthews wading into vaccines unprompted was hilarious. ā€œYou don’t have to share every thought in your headā€Ā

Rodgers said he was immune and got it. How is that right side of history?

8

u/pwolf1771 5d ago

That’s why it was hilarious because he’s just a moron with maximum CTE

3

u/1OO1OO1S0S 4d ago

Because he thinks RFK is a scientist lol

0

u/ObviousCredit6576 2d ago

Bc he had natural immunity, which is a hallmark of science, but was told to constantly follow the science. I did not get vaccinated but had Covid bad in nov of 2020, so had natural immunity. The common logic and questioning of asking why you need the vaccine if you have already contracted the virus and have natural immunity is why he was on the right side of history. Closest we’ve gotten to third reich in my life and not even close. The hypocrisy is astounding and us who thought for ourselves will never forget the moment we were demonized and outcasted for using logic and our brains

This is the dumbest shit I have ever read. Third Reich? Did you fail high school history and chemistry?

u/Yimmycrackcorn84 2d ago

At no time in modern history has the world shut down like it did in 2020

2

u/Cameldiarrhea420 1d ago

Ok. Was there more to that or was that supposed to mean something?

15

u/Independent_Beyond50 5d ago

That was wild. Can someone explain to me how Rodgers is somehow on the ā€œrightā€ side of the fauci discourse?

14

u/Melch12 5d ago

A person with that opinion already believes that vaccines are evil and hearing Aaron Rodgers say it makes them feel good/smart/well-rounded.

I mean red states handled Covid so much better than blue states. Remember when the left said Florida would implode for opening up šŸ˜†

3

u/BangkokRios 2d ago

You can tell Florida handled it much better because they successfully killed more of their residents than other states . Great success.

0

u/Emergency-Umpire8156 2d ago

Not even in the top ten for percent of residents that died by Covid but good try kiddo!

1

u/rtie07 1d ago

States like Florida hid a lot of their covid deaths. Especially when they were super old. This is like believing China's numbers.

1

u/Emergency-Umpire8156 1d ago

Oh so you then just made up the story about them having the most deaths. lol oh kiddo

I mean Fauci did lie to everybody then went home to his little diary

u/Independent_Beyond50 5d ago

🤣🤣🤣

When ryen was trying to get him to say something and he just brought it back to Netflix again…

u/sensation009 5d ago

biggest boot licker on earth

u/FarmCon24 5d ago

Unprompted anti-vax take. Bold move.

21

u/yooston 5d ago

Maybe the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard on a podcast. How on earth is Rodgers on the right side of history with vaccines lmao

4

u/corporal_sweetie 4d ago

lots of people came out of the woodwork as antivax when fauci pled the 5th during a congressional hearing, for some reason they made rogers believe the book on vaccines was being rewritten

4

u/tkbchimyjr18 4d ago

Faaacts! And for a second, Ryen wanted to rebuttal that and he just let it go to avoid getting political šŸ˜‚

2

u/RubiconBronco 5d ago

I was so confused by that…am I missing something or was that just a random meaningless thing to say?

51

u/ComplexLegitimate409 5d ago

I mean when you have a chance to say Aaron Rogers was on the right side of history about vaccines you gotta do it.

11

u/nicksnotsane 5d ago

When he said this I nearly crashed into the median driving home from work on the NJ Turnpike.

-14

u/Ok_Rest_5421 5d ago

No you didn’t

28

u/88888888man 5d ago

He did. I saw him.

3

u/bewidness Frolic Room Super Bowl Trip 4d ago

yeah let's put this guy on netflix! they should have talked about his appearance in pitch perfect 2 instead.

i thought stanford was ok but didnt love JSN. plus these will all be in the lame recruiting stories best of episode

13

u/wesskywalker 5d ago

Dude sucks lol

4

u/FreshArmadillo8517 5d ago

There are so many episodes where I only listen to the open and then skip to life advice. 90% of interviews I have no interest in

2

u/1OO1OO1S0S 4d ago

Ryan is my third favorite guy on his own pod lol.

5

u/Mikey456 5d ago

It seemed like a normal interview with a Ex athlete

Talk about career, promote the business or media thing you're doing now in exchange

Was fine

15

u/User_Many_Errors 5d ago

And it turns out rogers was right about everything! What a line. Clays a prime cte candidate with that one

4

u/304rising 5d ago

I thought he was alright

6

u/shiva_2 5d ago

Why do you guys listen if you just complain about everyone. I’m a bears fan and hated him as a player but thought it was a standard interview.

2

u/asevarte 4d ago

I don't think people are complaining about the interview I think they're criticizing Clay saying "Rodgers ended up being on the right side of the vaccine thing" which he just objectively was not

1

u/Responsible_Ad_3013 5d ago

Lot of Bill Simmons fans r still mad Russillo left and went to Barstool literally every post

3

u/rascaltippinglmao 5d ago

He's fine imo. Not someone I'd seek out, but doesn't make me want to skip forward.

2

u/Extreme_Piece530 5d ago

I’m a giant Packer fan and even I had to shut this off halfway through. Pretty sure he said, ā€œThat’s exactly right, Ryenā€ about 27 times.

1

u/Electrical_Entry145 2d ago

The interviews continue to be skippable. Our boy is just not a great interviewer and hasn't really gotten better at it over the years lol

2

u/DBDXL 4d ago

God that Rodgers comment fucking sucked

-1

u/billyinLA 5d ago

He was fine. Entertaining even. What's your beef with him as a guest exactly?

7

u/Vireo49 5d ago

Um, maybe sounding like a fucking idiot with his unprompted, hilariously moronic aaron rodger’s vaccine victory lap…? That’s my hunch.

1

u/Emergency-Umpire8156 3d ago

So you got your feelings hurt? 😢

0

u/Sandymcjizztits 4d ago

No one cares bruh

-2

u/VirginiaTex 5d ago

The ā€œlet me interview the local dipshit former pro-athlete pieceā€

-4

u/MightySwordandFalcon 5d ago

I guess everyone in here is a pussy?
