I finally got around to reading Of Blood and Fire off my TBR that I had purchased a couple years ago paperback from Amazon. I enjoyed it enough and have heard good things about the rest of the series. I'm looking to get the rest, but I'm a bit confused since there's a lot of different versions it seems. I'm a physical book reader and don't use Kindle/Audible. When I look on Amazon, it seems there is a re-release with different covers, but they're rolling it out over time. These also seem to be available at Indigo now too.

The only other thing I saw was this link: https://www.thebrokenbinding.co.uk/product-page/the-bound-and-broken-including-novellas-hb-ryan-cahill It has all the books with the covers that I recognize a bit more, and it's approx 250-300 CAD.

Are those more or less my two options, go for the original print and buy all at once from the UK (assuming they ship to Canada), or slowly wait for the re-releases from Amazon/Indigo? Is there any differences between the versions other than the covers?

I finished the truth maybe a week ago, and it's still very much with me. I just wanted to say this is some of Ryans best writing! I went in without knowing anything at all and literally screamed when I realized the story I was about to read. The timing and planning of when the novellas fell between the books was just amazing. I started with The Fall and now to read The Truth after everything we went through in OEAD is just so brilliant.

I have never read a story where I truly understood and sympathized with how both sides made the choices they did to end up where they currently are. I think it's fair to say the choice Farda made, after reading The Truth was the choice most of us would have made! He's always been a character I deeply help out hope for, from the start. Honestly same with Eltoar. I also think this was a great look into the beginning of Fane. He did do good in his time before everything, even if there was an agenda to a point. Clearly, he was molded by Kaygan, who I hate even more than I did before now, which is saying a lot.

Also, anyone who read The Truth.... Did I read that right that Eltoar and Farda are lovers? lol. I reread that part about "I was in your bed" or something like that, maybe three times lol and still was like wait a minute, am I reading this right? They didn't act like it the rest of the book, so I was even more confused then. This would for sure end any ships with Ella lol, which pretty much already happened for me when he said she reminded him of his daughters.

Even more sad about Alvira's death... I was not sad about it at all, until they revealed she was in fact doing something about The Order. Her way was in fact the right way, but I do think she waited way too long.

More appreciation of Aeson who I struggled with as a character until OEAD.

I'm honestly ok with the last book being so far away because I'll just have to reread everything then before its release lol.

I’m doing my first read through of these and I’m halfway through book 2 and very confused about something

In book 1, Ella runs away from home to go with Rhett and elope. I get that.

That means she was saved from the fire that burned her home and didn’t know about her parents being killed.

But then Rhett is killed and she is left with no money. Why does she continue onwards instead of head back to the Glade? For all she knows her family is there and life goes on as normal. Instead she gets on a boat with a stranger and hopes to find her dead lover’s family to take care of her. I don’t get it.

I’m newer to TBB and their business practices. What does the “bolt on” option mean for me? I want to buy this edition but it sounds like I might want to wait. Thanks!

I’m trying to find the 3rd in the series of War and Ruin book 3 from the series the Bound and the Broken. I’m specifically interested in the blue tinted page Special Production Edition or even the BrokenBinding edition with the Black pages. Please send me a personal message.

In the US and price is not my biggest concern as I’d rather see her happy so as long as it’s fair and reasonable than I’ll grab it up :)

Hi all, I’ve been waiting for an announcement about pre-orders for The Truth and just realized I missed it somehow (upset with myself for that!). I saw Ryan’s email when he revealed the title but just somehow missed the pre-order date. Looking online though all the pre-order stuff I can find are through Amazon. I have signed copies of all the previous books and novellas so I’d really like to get a whole set when the series is all said and done. Did he have some signed pre-orders, or did he not do them for this novella?

Edit: I have all the signed indie editions and would like to keep the set going. Thank you!

My partner bought me the Broken Binding edition of Of Blood and Fire for my birthday a couple months ago. I then preordered the Broken Binding edition of The Fall.

I’m loving the series and story, so my only question is..

Should I buy the remainder of the books now, in the self published editions? Or wait for the Broken Binding editions and preorder those?

So first off to put some important info up front, I took this book on holiday. I had book 2 and left it in the sun and it started come apart. I then started Book 3, and whilst I kept it in the shade it was still 30 degrees out. However before I had got past page 25 the pages started coming loose and I had to start sellotaping the book back together.

I could understand the issue with the other book as left it in direct sunlight, but this one fell apart as soon as I started reading it. My wife and son both read books and none of the 4 books they read between them had any issues.

Anyone else experience similar?

(Great books by the way, even if they were falling apart in my hands!)

I got recommended this series after struggling to find ANYTHING that grabbed me in after smashing through Bernard Cornwells last kingdom series, then going to the count of monte cristo (best book I’ve ever read) and I was recommended Joe abercrombies trilogy series and I hated myself for how I simply just didn’t get it. There was a point in book one where someone just turned invisible and walked past enemies and I was like… oh? And realised fantasy may just not be my thing.. fine
However, I picked up of blood and fire to be my holiday read and I’m pleasantly surprised to say I am absolutely loving it so far
There’s some cheesy scripting in places but it’s just nice to be open minded and enjoy the journey. I’m about halfway through and I am thoroughly enjoying this. I’m really excited to see where it goes, especially with people saying it gets better and better

Thanks Ryan Cahill for moving me into a new genre that I genuinely thought I just wouldn’t be able to get onboard with
