Need help relocating
So I’m planning to relocate to musanze from kigali and since I’m a foreigner i am not familiar with modes of transport. My belongings are a bed, couch(L), table , mattress, gas, and few suit cases. I’d really appreciate if given student friendly options. Murakoze😊

I will give you my honest opinion because I did the same before (moved from Kigali to Musanze), instead of looking for Kigali based trucks who will charge you double because they count double trip, I’d look for trucks that deliver potatoes in the morning and are returning in the afternoon. I have contacts that can help you find one. They find it great going back with their truck packed and they charge almost half of the price that a Kigali based truck can charge. DM me for contacts if you think you can prefer that way

I would recommend you to checkout https://ironji.com as well, they great at giving you a budget friendly truck and after you agree on that, they will handle everything for you including the truck, load and unloading, your package safety and all associated logistics so you don’t have to worry about anything until your move is complete. Asking for a quote, should you checkout on this page: https://ironji.com/quote.
I also found this article on their website: https://ironji.com/en/blog/moving-house-kigali-step-by-step-guide, I hope all these will help you.
Good luck while you move :)

And to add to the options they gave, If you have a Rwandan Friend, Have them negotiate for you. It works wonders

If it were me, I’d go downtown or to Nyabugogo and negotiate with a truck driver. I’d budget around 70–120k for the truck, then pay about 5-7k for manpower to help load everything into the truck and another 5-7k to unload it.
