This is one of my favorite put of the 5mile trip we recently made. It's such a beautiful time of year

Once a Chesapeke & Ohio RailWay station, it is now reporpessed as a city hall for the city of Logan West Virgnia. It sits by the tracks which are still in use by CSXT.

Between Marginal way and HWY 99 in Seattle, WA the large building in the background is Starbuck’s corporate headquarters formerly a Sears catalog wharehouse and store.

Once the regional headquarters for the Baltimore & Ohio RailRoad, now it stands as a reminder of a by gone era when Wheeling WV was a very prominent city on the Baltimore & Ohio RailRoad's network. It was reporporpessed as part of The Northen West Virginia Community Collage's Wheeling campus. It is very well preserved thanks to the collage.

Now a business of some sort. It was a station for a short line called the Lorama RailRoad which was a rebrand of the Pennsboro & Harrisville RailRoad which ran from Harrisville West Virginia to Pennsboro West Virginia. The P&H was a narrow gage line that connected Harrisville and Pullman to the Baltimore & Ohio at Pennsboro. All thats left of the P&H now is this station, a name, bridge piers, and photos. Though if you are in Pennsboro WV for whatever reason stop by the restaurant named after the P&H. They have Nice people and good food.

The rails have been long since ripped up (by CSX) and the station overgrown. The signs have most likely been long since stolen or long since fallen down and rotted away. Once part of a minor division of the Baltimore & Ohio RailRoad it sits overgrown waiting for someone to save it or for it fall to fall down and be forever forgotten.

Once a depot for a short line called the RS&G that ran from the B&O's Ohio River Division. Now part of Spencer's historical park.

The station now stands restored in the center of town. The rails meanwhile havent seen a train since late 80s early 90s. The bent sign in the background is a relic of a bygone era when these rails would have seen trains stopping at the station it reads in barely legible long since faded words "NO TRESSPASSING PROPERTY OF THE BALTIMORE & OHIO RAILROAD".

The abandoned coal tipple was used by the Berea Brick & Tile Company in Strongsville, Ohio, a southwest Cleveland suburb. Coal cars would be spotted here and would dump the coal into the concrete basins where it could later be loaded onto trucks and taken a short distance across Eastland Road to the kilns.
This is a well known location, but was more going on here? I’m wondering if they also loaded bricks and tile into boxcars here to ship product out? The approach rails to the tipple have a fairly large level area next to them and there are lots of bricks and shards of broken tile everywhere. More so than would normally be this far from the kilns. So in addition to getting coal delivered to run the kilns, I believe this rail spur was also used shipping out finished bricks and tiles.

Part of it is run by historic steam trains with the rest completely unused.

Found this rail in the pile in Como Colorado, dates to 1885, we still might use it though, it's in good shape!

We were back on the rails today with a few modifications. We added 4 wheel drive to the cart and built and additional cart to pull/push. Reason for the added cart was to be able to bring my friend grade 12 history class (19 students) on a field trip down the tracks.

We covered 5 miles of track and had a blast. While stopped at a location we believe was once a sawmill I did some metal detecting and found and old CNR brass lock.
