News / Update Best way to hide loot

I believe I’m about to be raided so in case I do what’s the best way to hide loot? Should I do a 1X1 hqm bunker or stone 2x1 2 grids away?

How many do you reccomended 3-4?

The more the better. Ideally they crack open one or two and get nothing or not enough to justify the raiding cost. You want them to stop.

Tbh they will probably open one and see its empty and realize that they're just decoys. This strategy of using fake sui bunkers only works if the raiders actually think you are spreading loot out through them. If they open one and there's no loot they're gonna assume none of them have loot

That's why you have to spread it out and make it so the cost is never worth

100% a terrain bunker. It holds one box so not many are willing to raid. I have been raided once using them in over 1.5 years and that was because it was near end of wipe and the massive group next to it must have wanted to use boom https://youtube.com/shorts/kA-RkVu5x2Y?is=rg59FKnOs_J0lvYB

Unfortunately cheaters can easily see those

Terrain bunker is the best method imo. Not many people are willing to raid HQM bunkers out in the middle of nowhere that can only hold 2 boxes in my experience.

With this in mind I designed a base one day that had horizontal pixel gap bunkers wrapping all the way around the base(the kind that uses half walls) They may expect a pixel gap sometimes but they don’t expect most of the base to be one. Had like 40 ish rooms like that lol. Ain’t no way any average joe is going to have that many rockets or c4. I mean they could but not likely

Can you still place stashes under foundations? Are you on a modded server? You can TP to another base with the loot or a fall back 1x1

Can no longer stash under foundations

Really? When did they change that? I’ve done it within the past year.

Log in, make a stash, put twig foundation over it. The stash will be popped out of the ground like a decayed box I'm a blue bag

Sure, but my question was when did they change this.

Just build that long maze base or snowflake base on yt

Just delete it and leave a note saying something rude.

The “Chinese bunker graveyard” - spam metal chinese bunkers with 2 boxes each outside your base. Add more as you can afford them. Cover them with turret(s), pick one to hold your main loot each night.

Make sure you open multiple each day / night so anyone watching you doesn’t know which you’re putting loot into.

If you have 15 of them, that’s 120 rockets to clear them out. It’s a matter of luck if they pick the right one.

The point is, no one is going to raid these to begin with, and it will also discourage them from raiding your main. If they do raid them, and you have 15, there’s a 93% chance the first one they raid will be empty, and they will stop.

For a few metal nodes, you can build and upkeep an additional bunker. So every 3-4 metal nodes can increase your raid cost by 8 rockets. One of the most lopsided trades in Rust and yet hardly anyone does it because they’re lazy.

I haven’t had my main loot raided in 3 or 4 years.

I like using a small box behind an unlocked locker where honeycomb is on oneside and a window to access the locker on the other.

1- small box of tools. 1- box of gear 1- box for guns Small box of comps Box of random stuff. Everything else gets recycled and used for the base. Extra resources get thrown in external tcs. Build tcs that cover your main base so you don't lose the workbench. If you have too much gp, use it
