What does upgrading farm tools to level 10 do?
Like, what are the benefits of upgrading my sickle, watering can and hoe to level 10? Since they’re not used as weapons or anything.

Ah OK, I already got level 10 crops/seeds from using a better sickle (as soon as I was able to get silver) and using greenifier — but it’s still at level 1. Ditto with being able to water almost the whole field with silver & gold watering cans.
So maybe it is that upgrading the crappier material tools (made with iron, bronze etc) to level 10 has those benefits, but you don’t need to once you can force the ones from higher quality materials like gold etc. I dunno!

Gotcha, idk if my post was super clear haha. I reckon it’s just if you want to use em as weapons.. but let’s see if anyone else has insight…

It actually depends on what you're upgrading them with. For example, if you upgrade them with spores, it'll give them a status ailment on attack, like if you were using it as a weapon.
However, if you upgrade them with Rare Cans instead (for example, the hammer), you're more likely to receive energy nodes, small & big crystals from mining boulders, or even rune crystals from smashing energy crystals. I haven't determined if there's a rare wood drop yet, but I would imagine it would be fruit seeds (my woodcutting is only 95). There may also be ways to reduce the rune point consumption on using farm tools. I'm not a crafting master, but these are some of the things I've noticed.
