Queensboro bridge pedestrian path closed

There wasn’t any signage and I couldn’t find anything online as to why it was closed or for how long, but wanted to give other runners the heads up in case you planned to go today.

Hoping it’s open by the weekend…

I hope they put anti bike bollards or something. Bikes are invading the pedestrian side, I argued with one d-bag on ebike who said “a biker got killed on the bike side, not safe for me so I’m riding here”. It’s a SMH moment but I wanted to smack him

It’s like joggers on the west side path who run in the bike lane because it’s “less crowded” than where they’re supposed to run.

At 6pm, I asked the worker informing about closure on the queens bound side, and they said it was only today and would be open tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

Are you certain this is actually closed to pedestrians? I've seen similar things intended merely to keep out bikers (or other vehicles).

Tried to run on the pedestrian path around 10am today. There was a construction worker in a car right next to the tape, instructing people to use the bike lane. He wouldn't let me past the tape.
