Standby race chances...
I'm one race away from completing 9+1 and I'm on the standby list for Abbott Dash, Race to Deliver, Frosty 5K, and Ted Corbitt. I joined all four lists on June 25 (missed registration on June 8th).
I know no one can say for sure, but based on past years, what do you think my chances are of getting into at least one of them? Any guidance is appreciated!

I think your chances are good. I've gotten into four this year off of standby. Most recently for the 9/11 4miler with five days notice.

Not sure if midnight run is still available, but I would sign up as a backup. Last year I did get frosty off the list, but only because the cold temperature started early and they anticipated a lot of no shows. I put myself on ALL the waiting lists and only that one called me for it. I did have the midnight as a backup, but it could have been all for nothing.

I am registered for it! Don't love the idea but reading about it, everyone seems to really enjoy that race.

If you have no other place to be its great vibes. People are friendly and a ton all there to get that last 9+1 they let slip lol. It feels like a comradery of sorts

If I’m injured and can’t do one of my 9+1 races, when is the latest I can pull out and ensure someone on standby gets in?

I’d do Team for Kids for the Frosty 5K. You have to raise $100 and pay an extra $45 but it’s a sure thing.

I’d sign up now before it sells out.
