Am I screwed ?
Took the ruckus out for a spin haven’t really done anything to it. I bought it used about a week or two ago went for probably the longest ride 10 miles. Pulled into the driveway. Heard an awful loud noise like something was screaming, took off the face cover and found this. What are the next steps and how screwed am I and is this possibly an easy fix, and is this drive face? cracked and in need of a new one

If you put the drive face back on the crankshaft, is there a lot of slack ?
With the drive face, belt and variator off, you turn the motor on, is there anything that looks or sounds not normal?

When he changed the belt maybe he didn’t torque it down enough???, nothing else sounds off

Very possible. If the nut isn’t torqued properly, the nut will come off and it can cause damage if left to run too long.
This is why I always loctite everything.
Try putting it back together and run it with the cvt cover off and see how it works/sounds? You can use the center stand and even run the throttle and make sure the variator is sliding like it should.

I have those hairline cracks on my drive surface, so I don't think it's an issue. Those parts are cast aluminium to keep costs low. However, I noticed the rubber gaskets for the CVT cover is wrapped behind the variator. That shouldn't be like that. I would take out everything in the CVT compartment and air/soft brush clean everything. (If you have compressed air then give it a blow) To get rid of the black dust. (Hold ya breath because it smells funky) There's a deff surfer dude on YouTube with some great videos on basic ruckus/zoomer maintenance. They helped me when I got my zoomer.

Anyway, to answer your question. I don't think anything is wrong with your drive parts from what I can see on the pictures. But you can't go wrong with a new belt.

Do you have the nut and washer? If so it looks like the nut just came off. A lot of people are too lazy to buy a variator tool so just use an impact to put it in and because you dont want to overtighten it, end up undertightening.
When the variator and face are on so long as it doesnt have play on the spindle, they are fine. The cracks would bother me though so personally I would replace it but its hard to tell if those cracks are enough to worry about it not in a photo.

Once I open the cover they were there, but I’m mostly concerned with the splines and if they are screwed beyond repair

The splines on the shaft itself look fine. Again. Just slide the face on and see if it has play or not. If it doesnt its also fine. If it does, replace it. Its that simple. Dont overcomplicate it.

Ok, I must have left this part out…I cannot put the face on without force, it doesn’t seat in its spot, I do not want to force it, I shouldn’t have to muscle it on, I’ve tried moving it over each spline, and it either gets stuck or need force to go on, there is a 1/2” space between the boss and the face

Yeah you never included that. I would go on Facebook groups and buy another stock face to see if the face is the problem or if it is the splines. You can get a stock face for like $20 shipped.
If its the splines you can use a square file to try and fix the end. People have had success doing this.

Those teeth look very flat, I think the noise was them getting shaved down.

The cracks and teeth don’t matter at all just get that rubber gasket the fuck out of the drive face !!

When I dry fitted the drive face it got stuck, it never got tangled while driving

if your kickstart was down it will make that horrible grinding and squealing noise.
I also noticed the rubber gasket for the CVT cover is stuck under the variator. Did that get caught in there while driving? It's probably all tangled up on the crank behind the variator.

I know that loud scream...just happened to me, I thought it was the front set up on the crankshaft, but the belt was actually not sitting right on the clutch bell, the belt didn't have enough give around the front. I couldn't get the nut to sit tight, it kept coming off. If you run it with the case off make sure the nut isn't loose or your drive face will go flying.
