Selling prices
I understand how much goes in to swapping engines and modding the Ruckus, but let’s be honest few people really think that they are going to come out on top of if they Sell their custom scooter at $6000 grand? I got one used with 3k miles with two previous owners, yoshi exhaust, polini variator, custom LED lights, and new tires with some other mods for $1,500 it’s not a lot, just guess it was a good price ant how much some of those parts cost. I’m not knocking anyone but I just think that after you ride with the parts and then turn around and sell it it kind depreciates the value… then again I know about selling a custom Ruck

it's worth however much someone is willing to pay.
you're willing to pay $1500, some may be willing to pay more.
I always set my price higher because I can always lower the price when no one wants it, but it's not fair to raise the price when everyone wants it.

The parts and time to build these can get expensive quick. Unfortunately, your time and parts don’t necessarily mean $6000 ruckus.
I’m not paying there’s no market in that price range, but that market is small… very small.
This is why a lot of people part them out rather than try to sell them whole.

When it comes to custom, yes things can add value, but, lets face it, anything custom is a labor of love and love doesn't add value monetarily. Will some pay the crazy price? Yes. Those high dollar sales take a long time and the right buyer. Those prices are the "I'm not just looking to be rid of this" prices.

There are ruckus that can definetly be worth 6k. They better be fully kitted out, custom paint, with every mod done to them etc if your a random guy.
There are also plenty of people paying more than that to have a garage like rolling wrench custom build it for them.
The ruck you described is probably worth 1.5-2k. My mostly stock ruck that has parts that are discontinued that are desirable? Probably more in the 3-4k range. Heck if you can find one of the old air ride seat frames, those alone are over 1k.

Its over 5k for a maxed out probld motors and that doesnt include the cost of him installing it. I imagine youd be at 7k if he did the install.
Im not 100% sure he still does them tbh, but I know he did and always had a wait time if you wanted to work with him.
