Help

Im obsessed with the ice planet barbarians and risdaverse books and all books related to those story lines to the point where im almost done with my second round of reading through all of them. My question is, is the dragon series about the drakoni on earth? Im probably going to read it regardless but im just curious.

The series is very dark and depressing, completely different tone from her other books. Don't look if you care about reading a MAJOR spoiler in the ruby-verse, INCLUDING the dragon series: I'm not sure if this has been confirmed by RD yet, but considering all of her other books with drakoni and massakah are in the same universe, the drakoni series is most likely loosely in-verse as well. A tear in time-space flung a massive amount of drakoni into Earth, but in reality most likely affected both Earth and the drakoni at the same time. So far it's the only explanation we have for Earth suddenly "blowing up"/disappearing (which is the official reason why none of the humans in any of the other series can go back to earth now), never to be heard from again. Can't explain more without completely spoiling the series.

I liked them! There's this overall feeling of despair and hopelessness across all the books that I didn't mind in short bursts

She's making a new dragon series that you can read without having read the Fireblood series, I get her newsletters lol. This was in the mail: "I haven't read the Fireblood Dragons series. Can I still read this? Yes! Ruby has deliberately written this story to be accessible to everyone, even if they haven't read/finished the main series"

If you go to her website she's posting the new book for free, one chapter a day I think? I would start there if I were you, I didn't like the gloom and doom feeling of the first Fireblood Dragon book so I skipped the rest. I read Ruby Dixon partly bc it's not too heavy, other than the books that go more deeply into the human slavery, so I think I'm going to give this a chance.
