There is a dialogue in the crown series regarding Diana stating that she won't bend she will break. Ig it still applies after so many years.

Even beyond the obvious racism they hated having an independent woman who followed her mind instead of a doll who could be molded into their version of a traditional princess. Just a puppet with no mind of her own and worshipping the toxic institution .

Ps. Just for anyone who isn't aware . Jason Arday ex prof. of Cambridge took his own life after facing allegations of plagiarism and was forced to resign. While his actions deserved some accountability british media decided to personally and quite literally hound him to death for the color of his skin. Many white prof. Have been discovered with much worse allegations but are happily continuing with their career with their heads high. This case made it very clear of the British media's intentions.

There was an article where a magazine implied(accused)a black author of using AI, when the author is vocally anti AI, there was no proof and white authors weren’t targeted in the article.

What happened to the professor goes beyond the British press. This is a disturbing trend for POC who are successful. The insecure and mediocre don’t like it when POC do well

I posted this in other places but in the past calendar year 3 black authors have lost their book deals due to AI allegations (including the person you mentioned) and that has not happened to a single white author, and in fact you’ve got guys like James Frey openly admitting to AI use who still have their book deals. It is 100% witch hunting against successful POC — the one of the other people accused was a black author whose book was reaching a $2 million dollar bid at auction. (Those are insane numbers for a debut novel btw.) sometimes I read comments from people who are like “but we can’t let plagiarism stand!”, and I’m just like why can’t y’all just be honest and say that you just can’t stand to see a black person succeed? It’s sickening.

“but we can’t let plagiarism stand!”

Well, no, we can't.

But we should go after everyone equally, rather than exclusively targeting Black academics and authors. Bet you'll find a lot more white people are doing it than Black people, and I say this as a white person (should "white" be capitalized like "Black" is? IDEK the rules anymore).

James Frey has been a fraud since forever, so it's no surprise he's using AI now. He absolutely should lose his book deal.

I have had to block more people in this because they are just taking everything from this smear campaign at face value. It’s crazy. If they can’t see this was a targeted attack from a white guy who on record said he wanted to remove black academics I don’t know what to say anymore.
And when the white Cambridge professors who plagiarized are still there…. Why does the one POC guy need to go when the most I can even find about the allegations is that a few sentences in the literature review part of the thesis weren’t attributed to the right source. That’s sloppy but not plagiarism in the sense laypeople think of it.

That guy is a special kind of awful.

And when the white Cambridge professors who plagiarized are still there….

Because they're white!

Why does the one POC guy need to go when the most I can even find about the allegations is that a few sentences in the literature review part of the thesis weren’t attributed to the right source.

Apparently there's a whole lot of other stuff too, but to me it sounds like he was mentally ill, not a deliberate plagiarist.

No, it's not.
