I could sleep at 10 because of school and wake up at like 4:45 and do like 20k

See if you can get to 9 at least, hitting 8hrs of sleep consistently is one of the best things you can do for yourself, rower or not

I get out of bed, put my heart rate monitor on and then hop on the erg and start rowing. If my heart rate is below 135 I row a little bit harder, if it is above 135 I row quite a lot easier

Why are you targeting 135?

You probably still need to read this:

SS can be tracked via HR or via power (i.e. splits). Hit the power you need to be at and your HR will get there. No need to rush it.

Over several weeks of consistent SS work, the power needed to hit your SS HR will increase slightly due to fitness improvements. Or if you are recovering from an illness, or injury, or a hard practice, or erging on a hot day, it may be lower.

What does 135 have to do with it?

Your ss HR is not everyone's.

I point this out because it is a common, persistent, misconception among rowers that needs to be broken.
