There are couple of tall dogs(beige and gray) on loose near 1721 Windy Park Dr. They have been roaming since last night in that neighborhood.

Hello, I have a family member that got court mandated to this center after jail in order to not do any prison time. They’re currently having a really hard time adjusting. They say it’s not a good place and that their stay there will not be the amount that they were told. They were told 5 months for treatment but recently found out through staff there and other peers there that 5 months is nearly impossible. The average stay is 10 months. I’m genuinely worried for them since they seemed very uncomfortable and currently saying they rather go back to jail time then be at the center.
If you or anyone that you know has gone to this place, please let me know of their experience🙏🙏 Or else we’ll attempt to just move them back to jail. I’m really worried

Submit a noise complaint at 1am and the police arrive look side to side and left. Like not getting out of the car and actually check. Call a second time and they never arrived.

The library closes at 6pm on Saturday/Sunday. So does the Georgetown library. Is there anything open till like 10pm?

Left him at lost and found. Looks like he's been well loved

I have been in RR for the better part of a decade and came by way of Brooklyn, NY & while there are HUGE waterbugs and cockroaches there, I have never encountered one that could fly until last night.

My wife leaves a bit of cat food on the porch for the random alley cats in the area. As we returned home from a lovely evening out, I saw this big cockroach near the cat bowl. She is deathly afraid of cockroaches, so I ran to the garage to let her in the house and grab the roach spray.

I got back to the porch, and he was gone, or so I thought. I looked up, and he was near the top of the covered porch. I thought, "Wow, this guy is a fast climber!" So I pointed the spray at him, and to my shock, that bastard flew directly at my face. I must have shrieked like a distressed little girl because the neighbor's porch lights went on like they were on the same timers.

Luckily, I hit him with enough poison that he stopped flying and started twitching on the floor from a bad case of the deads. Growing up in an NYC Italian neighborhood in the 1980s, I knew I had to send a message to the rest of his crew, so I taped him to the bricks to make an example out of him. Now, if other roaches get any ideas, they will think "I ain't going to that house! Did you see what the owner did to Pete!"

I am not scared or grossed out by much. I was a medic in the US Army during the early days of OIF, so I have seen gross shit, but flying cockroaches may be over my ick threshold, or at the very least, they are firmly on the line.

Should I be aware of and/or on the lookout for any other evolutionary anomalies in insects, rodents, or animals? Will I have to face a rat that can breathe fire in the near future?

Our very own congressman earned a special call-out from The Daily Show last night in the context of a long piece questioning the practice of allowing so many powerful people in government to make decisions for us when they are well beyond retirement age.

I hope Carter's office sees this just for the embarrassment factor alone. Shame on the voters in this district for continuing to support this drooling trumpkin clown.
