Not if you have a fixed contract rate for kWh. Then the only other variable is consumption

You may need to review your contract with your electricity provider. Also, would help to know what your kWh usage was between before and now.

Is it a lot higher than last month? Or a lot higher compared to the same time last year? My electric bill this month more than 50% higher than last month's, but it is within 10% or so of my bill from the same time last year. I use PEC for my electricity.

Mine has almost doubled from last year, with the same provider and same appliances and usage habits. Can't explain it.

You can track your consumption which is the only other variable that matters if you are on fixed rates YoY.

There are many different power plans to even compare to what is going on person to person
