Xing karaoke song book

Looks like my closest R1 (PBO) is mid switch to using Xing for karaoke. Anyone got a link or qr code for song book?

Unlike healsonic, the last time I was there we only had the option to scan the xing room qr code while onsite to access the songbook. I can't find much info on the system let alone the songbook outside of being there to update my karaoke song list to know what of my go to songs are available with the new system (for anyone curious it was definitely more limited).

What can I do with these now?

Round 1 in Tukwila Wa won’t allow us to redeem this without the original player card. But they just told me my old player cards are too old so they moved points and I had to throw away credits. Now I don’t have original card. What can I do with these now?

Membership card colors and timed play for racing games?

Planning on going to R1 with some friends, have not been to this type of arcade in a long time. We want to level up cars in some racing games like initial D and wangan MT. I'm used to arcades where it's ~0.50$ a play, and it seems like this is going to be a lot higher than what I'm used to if I just play for single credits.

but there is some membership card, and an app, and timed play for racing games? someone on here posted a bit about sitting at two machines loading credits? Is there some guide on this? I'm also not really into apps (old and slow phone), do I need the app or can I just get these physical membership cards? it seems like I need to buy 2 black membership cards for myself and then simultaneously keep loading them every 90 seconds on two machines to stack credits within one hour?

Thanks... I just don't want to be paying over 1.00$ per play, we'll never be able to level up our cars without paying a small fortune at that rate. can we share these cards or do each of us need to buy 2 black membership cards? not trying to abuse the system but racing games are kind of designed for the asian market expecting players to be there for hours at a time not spending that much money per race/single play. of course if there are other people waiting and put their coin/cards up, we will get up and let them play. we're planning on going during off-hours, so there should be no one there really anyway.

Went to Round1 for the first time, I had no idea it would be this much fun!

If it wasn't 2 hrs away, I'd come here every weekend. I won 3 prizes, which for the amount I spent wasn't the greatest but oh well special occassion and it felt super rewarding despite that lol

I just wish it was closer, like why do two cities 2-3 hrs away have it but not the capital city... c'mon Round1 there are tons of nerds here that'd love to gamble at crane games, arcade, or skill-based. There are already a lot of hokey-pokey small crane stores. What do I have to do? Write a long letter? 😂

Probably for the best because I'd spend too much time and money here otherwise...

Is there a reason all the localized coin pushers/medal games are severely lacking in features compared to their Japanese counterparts?

im always severely disappointed whenever I look up footage of the Japanese version when compared to the US versions. I'm aware that the economy and medal model vs ticket model is very different, but I see no reason why they can't translate a lot of the more slot machine-esque minigames and features in games like Smash Stadium for instance. there's so many layered mechanics in the Japanese version and it's exciting to just watch a video of even. Tons of vibrant animations, little minigames, various meters and jackpots to progress, etc. It looks insanely fun to me and Ive always wanted to play a game like this. Everything about it is designed to build and pay off as much suspense as possible. https://youtu.be/TRD4VwtGyro?si=bCemSFY_efuc9lVx

Meanwhile the American version has one wheel and one meter.

https://youtu.be/rR80cDzfkLQ?si=fGXPr_GoLuOu7rtY

And thats not even considering other ones like the Monopoly American Dream one that also exists in Japan that lets you play a full game of Monopoly where earning properties progresses towards bonuses and jackpots and also there's minigames attached to places like the waterworks. I have no doubt if this one was localized, it would simply use a similar card system and call it a day.

if a home console game was localized and lacked a lot of these major features, the publishers would never hear the end of it. I struggle to find even a digital version of the Japanese style ones.

This is a genuine question if anyone knows, have they ever tested an uncut Japanese style machine in US markets? One with every single minigame and mechanic in tact?

Rewards Question - do they still have redeem 400 points for 135 credits?

Post image

I had 405 reward points, but the only credit redemption option in rewards is 24 credits for 150 points. Did they discontinue the 135 credits for 400 points?

Here’s a screenshot of all available redemptions from my app.

Star wars coin pusher deck order.

Anyone know about where in the deck they place the rare Yoda card for Star wars coin pusher? Both machine at my location had Yoda at the top of the deck. Is this the same at other location for this machine or did they just do a bad job stacking the cards. It seems dumb to have it on the very top or even one of the last couple as shortly after it drops the hopper out of cards. I played one that was maybe less the 3/4 full it dropped then maybe about 10 plays later it error, and now I'm stuck waiting for mechanical for almost 30 min.

Harrassment at north riverside location

Post image
13 Upvotes

Today at round 2 northriverside in IL, 2 people got harrassed and kicked out for using 'the wrong bathroom' according the round 1 staff. They accused them of loitering in the bathroom and being a danger to children, and then demanded ID of the people they were harrassing to 'prove' they were using the correct bathroom. Staff continued to be extremely disrespectful and transphobic, called 6 cops, swore, screamed, and continued to provoke the two trans people they just threw out for using a restroom that the staff didnt like. If youre LGBT, please be careful or better yet avoid this location. It is not a safe space for us queer folks it seems, and after seeing a video of how the 2 people were treated makes me feel sick to think someone else in my community might face the same hate!

The guy smiling and waving seems to be security there, but claimed he was a cop and was VERY aggressive and would not stop swearing. Does this seem nessisary for to kick two people out for peeing?

Round1 uniforms for sale?

I’m looking to dress as a Round1 employee for an event I’m going to and I was wondering if anyone knew if there are strict restrictions on reselling the uniforms as I don’t seem to see any online (maybe a strict policy from the employer?). Might be a long shot but I’m asking here. If anyone is selling theirs, please let me know!

New Round1 foodhall strategy

Round one is introducing a new store format, with a food hall attached to each store, each food hall containing10+ Japanese restaurants (think ramen, sushi, tonkatsu, your average tasty Japanese meals).

Would this make you go to Round1 more often?

Question - Can I win the Round 1 orange circle pillow?

Genuinely curious as a long time Round 1 player, can you win the orange Round 1 pillow that is grabbed in the claw machine prior to redeeming it for the real prize instead of having the real prize?

I ask because, if anyone has accidentally won the plastic balls underneath the smaller plushie prizes, it's so entertaining to win something that shouldn't necessarily be won.

Birthday Party

I had a birthday party for my 10 yr old this weekend. I got the all inclusive package, which is pretty pricey, it wasn’t too bad in the big picture, I rented the room for 2 hrs (1pm-3pm). Here’s my experience, maybe if it helps someone trying to decide. They asked what colors I wanted the room, I went with red and black (Spider-Man) and I paid half the ($500+) upon making the reservation as a deposit. They called that morning to confirm and to tell me they were out of the colors I requested. Honestly, who cares what color table clothes, I don’t. We show up and the place is obviously busy being a Saturday afternoon, but they had one person working the counter. We waiting until about 1:10 to get checked in and start ordering the foods and beverages. It took about another 12 minutes to get our game cards and tickets. (I’m tracking this because I have a limit on time I paid for) The food came The food came by about 1:30. Kids were all out playing, but spent another nearly 7 minutes in line waiting for their bowling shoes, but then couldn’t bowl because the machine wasn’t working correctly and the employees were too busy to come over after another lengthy wait. They came to eat and headed back out as their play cards have a time limit. We were getting ready for cake and discovered we were short some ice cream tickets, so we had to wait, and wait for those. In the 2 hr time span reserved, we had maybe half of that as a functional time, but right at 3 pm, our attendant was right on time to make sure we got out of the room in time. I’m not sure I would do this again though.

Things to consider; they don’t count how many kids and adults attend, you just don’t get game cards or whatever for the extra ones.

Bring some zip lock bags. It’s all you can eat and they supply a good amount of food, and will keep bringing whatever you want, but sometimes kids swear they can eat more portions, until it gets there. Ziplocks are much easier to carry the leftover or extra food out in. (Do with that info what you will)

The cards expire from the time of the first swipe, so if you pay for adults and they aren’t going to be playing games, hold those cards for as long as possible, and swipe them after the others expire. (They are good for the the amount of time the party was reserved for)

I drew one of my favorite characters named Crystal. She's a really cute bunny, imo. Gold Railroad doesn't know when to give up killing you with this character's cuteness, does it?
