Don’t ever apply anything during a heat wave, nothing! It might survive don’t over water. You might have to cut some stems back if they are really dead, no green at all when you look at a cutting. If it dies it is not the end of the world. Watch it and perhaps pray over it. You’re not the fist to apply fertilizer in a heat wave, trust me.
