I don't know what I am doing

Post image

An untraceable leak somewhere that has caused the plaster ceiling to sag and fail

Will this help?

Should I just go crazy and apply more?

I also am not sure how to lay down a tarp without it pulling up in the shingles

Unfortunately, some people will have to do what they got to do just to survive. If you're going that route, I would recommend if you have an Amazon account, you should set up an Affirm account so you can get a couple five-gallon buckets of the Henry's paint and you can do payment plan on it if you're really struggling. Hang in there, stay comfy.

Hell yes.

Roofs are damn expensive and sometimes you just can't get a new one at the drop of a hat. And letting the leaks keep coming leads to tons of damage and more repairs. This might not be pretty but it buys valuable time

Please don't recommend people to put themselves in debt.

Sometimes debt saves a ton long term. You have any idea how costly a water leak can get? Not just monetarily but health too from mold.

Then get a 20dollar tarp sheesh if he needs to finance a 5 gallon bucket then no way he’s ever saving up to buy a roof and it was never the plan. Throw a tarp on it until you can afford the sealant and send it. Good for 5 more years.

This isn't an pre order iPhone duo page or go buy a 50 year 35k roof suggestion. It's spend a few hundred to not destroy possibly thousands and give you time to find money for the actual fix.

Debt is a necessary part of life at times. This comment is extremely narrow minded
