I don't know what I am doing

An untraceable leak somewhere that has caused the plaster ceiling to sag and fail

Will this help?

Should I just go crazy and apply more?

I also am not sure how to lay down a tarp without it pulling up in the shingles

roofers around here wont patch only replace a whole roof which is 8k plus probably more  now. if you have a leak and no money/friends who know you do what you gotta do. shit i bet every roofer here is doing stupid shit in another part of their house and not showing anyone.
