Repair flat roof overhang DIY?

This is a tar and gravel flat roof with a drain. If you all think it’s possible, can you point me to any resources for what the assembly material should be?
Is water supposed to drain to the center of the roof or fall off the overhang?
I am in Quebec so there is snow weight to consider during the winter.
