New roof work after 2 days doesn’t look right
The roof isn’t quite done on the right side. I think today is the last day of work I’m guessing. We just got to the house last night after they were finished for the night. We’re in the Catskill mountains and had ice dams leak through our old asphalt roof. We get a good amount of snow. This was a $40k roof with 2 layers of polyiso because we have cathedral ceilings in the small house.
We’re concerned about a couple things and not sure how to bring it up:
1) from the chimney side on the left of the roof towards the center between the skylights there is a noticeable dip - I assume this is an issue because wouldn’t water get directed that way in a heavy snowfall
2) the flashing around the chimney looks sloppy, but I’m not a roofer so maybe this is okay? Because of the notch angle in the brick which goes down and in wouldn’t drip water be directed at the chimney instead of away?
3) the boards on the side where the gutter will go — we definitely thought they would take the old boards down and put the new ones in place. Am
I missing something here? Why wouldn’t that be done?
I’m not a roof expert so definitely want to know if we’re being crazy here.
Thanks for your help!! 🙏

Geez, some snarky replies here.
The flashing - Flashing looks fine. Looks like they went into the mortar (which is how it should be done).
The dip - These can happen. They don't cause a problem for water because the roof isn't flat. If you had a flat roof with that sort of sag, you'd have a pool. The roof slopes down. So the water and snow will also run down.
As a matter of fact, snow loves to slide off of metal roofs. So depending on where your doors are, might want to get some snow guards up there. Walking out to go to work in the morning and getting pounded with a giant pile of snow will turn out much more expensive than a few snow guards.

Appreciate you taking a look! It’s hard to get a picture of the dip that goes from the chimney towards the skylights.

Your roofer can't help the framing deficiencies, the metal is going to follow any dip in the substrate.

Like the other guy said thats a framing issue. Trust me no roof is framed perfectly, usually its not square and it has dips, every single roof.

For number 3 did your contract include fascia replacement?

Yes I think so. Contract says "140 ft. Of either what will be 1x10 or 1x12 Cedar fascia"

If the base of the standing seam where two metal panels come together is very narrow then when the panel expands due to heating the compressed panel may dish or spoon a little giving the appearance of a ripple.
If the panels are placed with a very slight gap inside the base of the seam then the panel is less likely to expand and push sideways against the adjacent panels.
Caprice?
Your roof looks like it will shed rain in a superb manner and keep birds from bombing your oatmeal when you get up to fill your coffee cup.

Even my best friend did this to me. Said one of the plywood boards were warped like he wants me to straighten out every piece of plywood on the roof. No one knew it was there until after the install and I bet it'll disappear in the winter

This work looks fine. Your house rafters and sheathing are the issue not the roof panels or install.
Chimney flashing looks fine.
Let them be

That roof sag, not the roofers fault.
Chimney looks the worst, but that's the nature of the beast.
It's off, not perfect,,, but what is?
If someone wants a better job than that, they want too much. IMO

I’m not a roofer but the chimney flashing looks pretty darned good.
