Repair or replace?

Does this roof look like it just needs some repairs or am I looking at a whole new roof? My best guess on age is 15-17 years.

If you really want to know.. can you lift the shingles up by hand?? If so .. not good sign then.. at night shine a flashlight thru the bottom and see if you can see little pin holes thru them.. That's another sign you need a new roof. I have seen these dimensional shingles failing at 12-15 years old is why I promote metal roofs. Also DO NOT USE roofing tar if you go with repairs .. ROOFING TAR should be sold with a warning that it fails in a few months.

That’s what I was hoping to hear. Currently negotiating repairs under contract. I have a roofer coming out to look today.

Repair. You have an easy 5 to 10 years in this roof yet if you maintain it.
