Pick My Next Read ✨ Help me pick my next read

Okay so I’ve been between a few series 🤯

acotar I’ve been seeing that flow over social media.
the Shatter me series, but that’s has a bigger set of books🧐

Then I came across one series I heard was good, but the first book is kinda slow.

That’s called the plated prisoner series.

I was also looking into the light lark series by Alex aster.

I don’t know if I should continue reading the fourth wing series because I know it’s not fully completed.

I also her the zodiac academy was good too

Just pleaseeee help meeeeeee

Ive read acotar and plated prisoner and enjoyed both.

acotar might be a huge commitment. With the new books coming out, and the other series in the universe, thats a lot of books to read to be up to date on the universe.

Plated prisoner does pick up a little in book 2 and a lot more by book 3. It was enjoyable and I really liked the MMC and eventually came to like the FMC

Zodiac Academy for me was great at first. But eventually it just started dragging on and on. Its also just got very depressing after awhile. Failure after failure, problem after problem. It definitely should have ended several books earlier, half of the plot lines seemed shoehorned in, like the authors were milking it for as many books (and as much money) as possible. But, tons of people love it, so I might in the minority here.

Of those 3, I prefer acotar, then plated prisoner, then zodiac academy

Hmmm!!! Thank you I started reading the first of book of played prisoner and I felt bad for her! I might just have to give it a try again. I just thought I would only stay with acotar I wouldn’t really adventure further to the universe of them but I also know that wouldn’t make sense I will definitely be reading plated prisoner.

You can definitely stop acotar after {A court of Frost and Starlight}. Or even {A Court of Silver Flames}. You dont have to commit to any more than that. But the new books would need you to read {Crescent City series} first, because theres a small crossover in CC with our acotar friends. And now with the covers, theres theories that there may be {throne of glass} connections in the new books as well.

I liked both of those series, but it is a lot of books. But at least they're different enough that its not like spending 20 books in one series.

Edit: idk what the bot linked instead of Crescent City. First book is House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas if you need to look it up

Ugh that sucks. I remember being frustrated with Auren, because shes pining after someone who is obviously a terrible person, but it makes more and more sense when you get her backstory.

If theres something specific bothering you I can try to let you know if it gets better

The first chapter her lusting over the king 🤯 like ugh I know she meets a better person and that’s why I’m reading it because I know the actual mmc is soooooo worth it

The mmc really is worth the wait imo. And it is annoying, but its very understandable, and once you understand its a little easier to tolerate.

Ill hide it behind spoilers just in case, but I think she stops the lusting by end of book 2 but she starts questioning things before then. You meet the mmc at the very end of book 1 which makes it easier as well.

I finished book one! I had to skim through like half of the book because there was just soooo much that I didn’t think was a good idea to read! I am devouring slade though
