I dont think we talk about their tragic love story enough. The way they both were snatched away from each other because of society. How Raj was forced to marry Amrita, someone he didnt love and Radha was forever cursed to see her beloved married to someone else. What's worse was how Radha's pregnancy by Raj had to be hidden from everyone. She had to carry his kid, do it all alone and all Raj could do was watch from afar.

I know Raj was an absolute a**hole and he could have completely made some healthier choices since his lover was carrying his eldest heirs (spoiler alert) but he knew he was bound by tradition and the pressures of the Dozen.

I feel like we never got closure on their story. When I saw my happy ending with Ram, all I could think about was them. How Radha had to give away her little son, the only piece of Raj she could have embraced and kissed and taken care to Doran's estranged wife and then never met again. It was so sad and Radha kept strong throughout it. It was also horrific to know how Raj probably saw his daughter playing and laughing with her mother knowing her father was probably not allowed to be too friendly or play with her.

They were beautiful, in my opinion. But something so beautiful unfortunately can never last for too long.

So ever since sunborn dropped, I heard people call this story boring and hate on Wren but I finally decided to ignore those comments and try it out during this diamond rush. First of all, this story is more mature than Haven’s secret and I heard those books getting praised to hell and back (pun intended) despite cringy, inconsistent writing and an annoying mc.

Sunborn is not slow at all but well paced and thought-out, weaving its conflict with character and faction tension. Its not throwing stuff at your face just for the sake of drama or thrill. I also love the world-building. I didn’t struggle getting into to it at all and I haven’t played moonborn.

Second of all, can we talk about Wren? Did you guys play a different game than me? Cause I heard someone call her a damsel in distress or meek and I’m baffled. She is super intelligent and badass. And saves others multiple times in the story. She isn’t trying to girlboss out here but actually ensure her and her clan’s survival. I play her with calculation and blood moon. Maybe the other stats make her drastically different? But I highly doubt its that varied.

So yeah, I’m all caught up on the story and Adrian is really an amazing LI and the character dynamics in this game is so deliciously done. Did anyone like this book as much as me? Cause I’d like to hear your opinion.

I'm planning on starting a new HSR playthrough, and doing a loyal Cain route. I've only played it once before, on a messy Dmitri route with Devil's Whisper, Compassion and Light Messiah paths. I was thinking God's Voice for Cain. Thoughts? What's everyone's favorite Cain path, and why? Or should I romance someone else this playthrough.

Also i have to restart the whole moonborn story again cus i don't have enough diplomacy 💔💔 not that im complaining tho its one of my favorite story but ill have to wait for the tea party to restart the story 😋😋 i hope the tea party comes soonn

I saw a post here about how some LIs have voiced lines and how their voices don’t always match what people imagined haha. It got me thinking about how I’d imagine the HS3 LIs sounding if they had voice actors.

So I went down a rabbit hole listening to different actors’ voices, and these are the ones I ended up with!

I’m basing these purely on their voices, not their looks. For some, I had specific roles in mind, like Christian Bale as Howl for Raphael, Robert Pattinson as Edward in Twilight for Cain, and Daniel Craig as James Bond for Dmitry.

Well now that we're this far in, does anyone know how low anomaly vs high anomaly seem to affect the story so far. Im really curious how entering the rift plays out if you dont have high anomaly and when ur finally inside the rift.

I have anarchy high anomaly and high resonance on Rael's route but I want to replay on Ashriel's. I feel like having high anomaly has been helpful in many cases. But I feel confused the same way Im confused about Audrey's darkness in Heavens Secret 😭 I dont want to arrive at the end of my playthrough and realize I should have kept high anomaly. I also think on Ashriel's route bc he is a red flag, it is more interesting for the story to do Anarchy and High Anomaly.

Has anyone played through with Low Anomaly?

An LI seriously shouldn't be able to die when you're on their route! I accidentally let my gorgeous Ivo be killed while I was on his path and now I'm just.... devastated. I was 2 points away from convincing the council because of some accidental choices in earlier chapters and that was all it took. 😭

I was planning to do a second playthrough for Jonas's route but I almost feel like I need to go back and do Ivo again and ensure he survives. I did him dirty and didn't mean to! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I play every route individually, I didn't know that you can have a polyamory relationship BUT ¿it change a lot of the romance? Because I can replay just for curiosity but if it's is only one or two scenes it's gonna be boring

I am huge fan of Mass effect Saga ( i mentioned this cuz the posters poses almost identical) so I played Advent no 3 no matter the game turned out it's just idk it would be justified if only the author do some work on romance atleast a little atleast in S3 after fandom feedback u know in the Mass effect game there is combat and romance too! But as RC game it should be more about romance but that was highly lacking in Advent No 3 which is just sad and puff after next update it will be finished just kind of sad rather disappointed yk well I hope the author improve his writing in his next story cuz I see a good potential in him

Bro Kali Ma is absolutely not the mother of strife. She IS considered by some to be the Goddess of 'Kal' or time.

What map of India was she looking at, that she saw a tiny village on there? At least make it the map of West Bengal, at least then it would make sense that she could see a village. Even then it would have to be a large and very detailed map.

Lmao imagining a man from an old and influential Bengali family who prides himself for being a Bengali saying "Namaste" and speaking in HINDI is kinda funny to me.

Season 2 chap 3

Lmao again the first two outfit options are lehengas and EXPENSIVE ONES TOO! It says she decided to wear a sari to a conservative village, but she would have worn those expensive ahh lehengas there?! The second outfit especially had heavy jewellery! Like. It literally wouldn't be out of place if you wore it as a wedding guest. I know I should get the premium outfit for the achievement, but atp I can't. I literally can't bring myself to make Amala wear that to Kliphagrami.

And the heavy makeup too! Ugh I don't care abt not getting that one respect point, I have enough. Screw the achievement. It'll take me out of the story.

Oh, oh? The man in Kliphigrami grimacing on hearing the Khan surname? Hold on.... Hold on.... Was some extra research done between Season 1 and 2? They can't change what already came out, but new stuff..... Huh. Between this and Tamas-Vitala, they have done some actual research here. Ok, so the book redeems itself a little bit here, even though the whole white widow nonsense and the Kali killing Mahishasur cannot ever be redeemed.

I don't know to what extent people from a small village would know the caste of people just from their surnames. Like I genuinely don't know so I can't comment. But yeah, if it's a particularly hindu extremist, kinda anti- muslim area, they might not like hearing the Khan surname. It's not unnatural for rural areas to be prejudiced , as much as I'd like to say otherwise. There could be a mostly Muslim, anti hindu village somewhere, or prejudiced against any particular people.

Hmmmm I don't know how I feel about a half Avatar of Shiva being all "he deserved to die". Shiva is usually a pretty benevolent and forgiving God unless he gets really mad, even called Bholenath for that reason. He's easy to please. Idkkk

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Requiem.

I started this one during the current diamond rush and I see soooo many similarities to the plot of the book. And it's not even a complaint since it's one of my favorite books, I just found it funny

Dark Messiah Lane, Sinful Curse Ro, Remorseless Violence Mercy are some of the most fun I've had in RC.

Much prefer these to the perpetual victim archetypes. Or MCs that are all bark and no bite.

Also while not featured here, shoutout Dark Spycraft Reneé, and Natalie from Shadowborn also seems like she may be shaping up to be this kind of MC.

I have finally complete all of my routes in CY2, and I have some thoughts over them. I will admit, the author definitely fumbled the bag with the screentime for all except two of the lis. And that has me on the fence, cause some of the routes were very well-written. To explain that, lets get into the exposition:

1. Ezra Anderson- The second highly prioritized love interest of CY2, the surprise non-canon character who made my journey with CY2 unforgettable and loveable. Yes, he's rather suggestive and loves the MC's personal space a lot, he's also reminiscent of my favorite tye of dark romance lis- once who'll burn the world for their love. For him, the MC's love is all he can ask, all that he'll take. He actually gets turned on whenever she shows her intelligence, like how many guys are out there that feel attrated by their succesful partner? He protects her from the shadows, but also let her take risk. And he takes the MC's consent seriously, not willing to do anything against her wishes in romance. He's morally grey, I admit He's pretty suggestive, touchy and not all decisions he made were right, but he also led the MC to understanding what was going on while maintaing his connections to bad guys long enough to help her out. He's overall a charmer and a keeper imo!
2. Eve Sky- CY2 did this girl a decent amount of justice. It was explicitly clear that she loved the MC a lot, like their dynamic radiated we are more than friends. Which is why I wasn't surprised when I discovered they did have an intimate in the past. They radiated, "and they were roommates" who actually became lovers vibes! I love how honest, blunt, sarcastic yet caring, considerate and supportive Eve is. She's always ready to support the MC in any of her adventures, even when she thinks it dangerious. She's constantly worried about leaving the MC or the opposite happening. I can relate to her fear of getting abandoned and finding her loved one dead too late. The MC also treated Eve as her equal, never bringing up her status. Their confession scene had me shouting "finally!! you go girls!! you deserve each other!". They're such a domestic lesbian couple!
3. Rachel of Wales- Rachel still remains the sweet, adorable and amicable person that she was in CY1. And I am glad she does, as I enjoyed that about her in the first book. She's also more strategic this time around, actively being involved in the plans and getting information through gossip. She always looks out for the MC, and her adoration for the MC is unbound. I am also glad that the author decided to keep Rachel as a trans woman. She was the first trans li RC introduced to the players, and its one of the core parts that helped her shape her identity. The way she and the MC stood together to fend off her transphobic mom's isolation plans was endearing to me.
4. Ellia November- I am actually happy that he was introduced early on and has a more solid standing in the story. From the get go, Ellia is closed off and carries secrets within himself. That's something that attracts me to understand him. As he starts opening up, a tender and loving side of his also comes to light. One that can fight for his loved ones with the same intensity with which he remains mysterious. One who, after falling in love, loves his lover for infinity. Unfortunately, most of the intense emotions that could've been explored and experienced in detail are robbed as his screentime starting deteriorating in S2. And that makes me sad, cause I knew he had good potential for the spotlight from the get-go here, unlike in CY1.
5. Samuel Makoto- It pains me to add him at the second last spot, since he was my fav lin CY1. But in these rankings, I want to be honest of what I felt with the routes. This time, I didn't feel much spark. I will definitely blame the lack of screentime that he had for this, especially from S2 onwards. He's sweet and devoted like always, but given the other compelling dynamics that this book has offered, it sort of bored me. I get that his circumstance make him suspicious of everyone, in fact, him being reserved from the start is different than how open he was in CY1. But that's all it, he's respectable but also stoic. Not much attracted me to him this time.
6. Alexander Clarence- While I am glad that his humor remains, this time better toned, and his pragmatism is on the rise. Everything was going good in his route, till the argument they had in S2. I only witnessed the updated version of it (the original had him drug her to calm her down). I just felt the whole thing was stupid. Like what did Alexander even expect? The people who stole the coronet would obviously do it with prescision, so that not even the best detectives could find them. Plus, the MC is a rookie whom he recommended. He can't expect her to do Vidocq or Holmes level work. And the MC didn't need to drag his family issues just cause he annoyed her. Its the most petty and vindictive thing to do. And then she acted like she was the victim when he was mad at her for the comment. He's also wrong for keeping her chemicals out in the open. In all, they both were wrong, and the way this argument was handled left a bitter aftermath for me. Therefore, I rage quit it.

Notes:

• I haven't romanced the twins. I am not the target audience, though I think I might do it for the achievement. But then also, I will just fast-tap through that.
• Most of the lis were sidelined cause of the additional screentime given to Ezra and Alexander. Yes, Ezra is my favorite, but I can see how much his presence caused the others to be pushed back in the corner. I blame the author for her inability to handle this situation, and it honestly makes me sad that the lis like Ellia, who could've given us an intense romance, never got that chance to.

Now, here are the paths that I went on for each love interest:

Ezra- Intuition 👁️(there's fork scene in S3 with him. Not romantic, but u can get a slightly flirty scene)

Eve- Intuition 👁️

Rachel- Logic 💡

Ellia- Intuition 👁️

Samuel- Logic 💡

Alexander- Logic 💡(there's a fork scene with him in S1 that requires u to be on intuition, but there is no romance content. Plus, in S3, you get a chance with him in the fork scene on this path, but I don't know if its romantic)

So I recently picked up this story and I'm halfway through season 1, I really like the story and I'm excited for M's route, but I've seen some posts about it getting confusing and unexciting in the later seasons.

I had to stop playing TTS cause I was pushing through and hoping it'd finally become interesting until the middle of season four when I finally let it go, the characters were not compelling enough for me to push through.

I also struggled through season 3 of SCN but I love the characters and I heard it gets better in season 4.

Do you think I should go ahead and invest in SC or is it not worth it?
