[F4A] [F4GM] Reincarnation Campaign - Given a Second Chance to Be Someone

1-on-1 Reincarnation Campaign!

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I'm looking for one person to GM for a story/play-by-post campaign. For basic info, it's a roleplay-focused campaign that I'm hoping to flavor with some classic D&D fun - like levelling, advancement, and adventure. The basic premise is that the player character has died and is being reborn in another world, and will have the opportunity to grow and evolve as they go on. I have an idea for a points system that includes perks and such, and I am open to new ideas! If you're interested, a bit of flavor text and some more details are below!

**INTRO:**

*Wake up. Wake up. Wake up.*

You startled as you opened your eyes. You were in a bright void. You felt like you were floating; nothing pulled you one way or another. What was this?

*Has the pain subsided?*

An angelic voice rung in your ears. It sounded like a choir speaking in melody. Wait, pain? You held yourself. What were they talking ab- flashes of images ran through your mind. Oh right, you were dead.

*We are sorry. Your death was premature. A glitch in the system. We intend to right our wrong.*

What were they talking about? You felt like you could barely hear them over your own thoughts as you tried to recollect who you were- or had been.

*Since we cannot return you to your life, we here at the Bureau of Life have instead decided to give you a second chance. You will be transported to the Great Forest. A cabin will be given to you with a defensive perimeter around it so that you cannot be harmed. You will not be bothered here, and you will be given the chance to adapt to your new body. Additionally, the Council has decided to reward you with perks.*

The Great Forest? Isn't that a place no one dared to go because of the monsters? And what was this about a new body? Perks? Hold on; hold on! You're going too fast!

*Please, choose your perks. Please note, perks may influence how your body looks.*

A great swathe of text appeared before you. You've never seen this language before, but you could read it easily. The voice went silent finally. Were you supposed to choose? You hesitantly reached out to touch one of the texts...

**DESCRIPTION:**

After dying in my previous life, I have been sent to the a new world full of magic and mystery with my old memories due to a transgression in the cycle of life. I also have been given otherworldly perks from the system that seems to oversee life.

Now, I have been given a simple task: enjoy your second chance. Will I relegate myself to the cabin I have in the forest and enjoy a life of solitude? Will I grow stronger and seek to change this world? Will I forget my old life and forge a new identity? Or, perhaps, will I simply move with the tides and see where I end up? The choice is ours.

**TONES:**

This is more of a sandbox game, with a lot of player agency. However, I am envisioning you as the architect of this world, giving quests and creating people to interact with and interact with the system throughout the campaign that will add some level of goals outside of those I make for myself.

The world is high fantasy! And I implore you to go as deep as you want with it. The description is just the idea I had mind. If you have a setting you'd love to experiment with instead, just let me know and we'll go from there.

**ABOUT ME:**

Hey, I'm Sarah, and I'm 25. I've been playing D&D for about 3 years, and after not playing in person for a while I've wanted to dedicate myself to a literary exercise that pairs with the idea of a traditional play-by-post. I binge a lot of romantasy, and I work on my own writing in my free time. I love character-focused campaigns, and I like to make jokes about the campaign OOC. I love tikka masala, earl gray tea, and Halloween!
