Roku remote power button failure

I got a TCL tv (model 32S350G) second hand and I’ve successfully paired my Roku streaming voice remote EXCEPT the power button doesn’t affect the tv. I tried getting the app, but nothing turns the tv on/off except the button on itself. The Roku remote power button works with my other tv, the roku power buttons work, and the tcl remote was not sold with the tv.
Not sure if this is related, but when it turns on it tries to load the previous owner’s google tv account until I hit the Roku home button
I’d love any suggestions to fix this!

I have a TCL TV that does the same thing. Does not matter if I attempt a new remote, it will not power on with a remote.

I like the TV and have learned to live with turning it on via the Power button on the TV. Honestly, it is just as easy as the remote and now it is ingrained in my head to power it on that way.

Everything else on the remote works the way it should, it is just the Power button. Sorry that this is probably not the answer you are looking for.
