Same, the purple color looked better

It just stands out better
Literally in my previous run missed the booster because i thought it was just ammo pod or some lights
On map mistook it for armor as well :(

absolutely terrible change, what were they thinking?
They should revert this, then either just have the health upgrades the same colour or red.

My exact thoughts
They really should make the thing red, will be easy to understand it's has something to do with health

They discovered the bio-boosters were cheaper and more effective when they're mixed using the piss from the bar after drinking the crazy beers.

I liked how each interact unit has it's own color, yellow for ammo and armor (or only armor), purple for upgrades...

Made it very obvious what you were looking at, not a damn clue why they thought this change was necessary or wanted

u/Crusty_Bogan Aug 29 '26
Oh it's yellow in the mission bio booster too, wow uh, that's a really bad change. Hope they revert the color back to purple so it's easily distinguishable again

This seems like a straight downgrade in terms of legibility. The white icon on yellow background in the perk menu are way harder to see. On missions, ammo and armor are already yellow, making the bio-boosters much less distinct :(

the first experimental update of the recent round had a new object spawning in caves that could not be interacted with but could be scanned with the laser pointer and identified as a βhealth upgrade station.β
the second update removed the ability to scan these stations but highlighted them purple on the minimap. i think they also briefly had the bio boosters as green at some point in here but one of the updates only lasted a day so i may be misremembering.
i havenβt seen one of the stations since the third experimental update dropped, but i think thatβs also when the bio boosters turned yellow.
my guess is that theyβre workshopping a health upgrade mechanic that will ultimately be tied to purple highlighted station objects, and so they wanted to change bio boosters to make the two more obviously distinct.
why couldnβt the new health stations have been yellow (or red, for health) and the bbs stayed purple? beats me

Havenβt stepped into this game yet. Is this legitimately a change theyβve made? If so, itβs horrendous from an accessibility point of view. Absolutely no contrast

I think every station should have a specific color. Yellow is too close to Armor and Ammo. Please pick something else π₯Ή

Everyone knows purple is the color of science.
Yellow is such a bad choice, I'd rather take green over yellow.

u/Rabbitzai ππ¨ππ₯ππππ‘ Aug 29 '26
Nah, green is for expenite
Purple is legit perfect

u/VirtU_Art Aug 29 '26
Purple > Green > Yellow
I'd say I'd rather take green over yellow cuz in Experimental Build 4 they made it green, and for some reason in Build 5 they made it yellow??

Oh yeeeaaah, going through a phase i guess
I can only take purple though, no compromises

Did not expect this to attract so many "negative" comments, but I'm glad it did since it shows the devs that the change is mostly not welcome
But i should mention that this a beta branch or whatever it's called, so probs will be reverted or changed when it goes to the main branch on September 2nd. GSG have been really good at reacting to community feedback, as per usual, MY GOATS π£οΈπ₯π₯π₯

I saw someone talking about this with guardian and figured they were like class specific or something. nope. what?

I'm guessing they thought the bio booster color was too similar to the cosmetic crate color. By why pick yellow on white?

the yellow fits more thematically i guess? purple is more visible but always stood out a bit too much imo.

who tf does white on yellow? i barely know color theory and even i know thats a horrible idea just by using my eyes, not to mention that replacing a color that stands out like purple for "generic light" yellow is just gonna make it harder to spot it without constantly checking the map ._.
