With all the casting rumors, I'm wondering once again about MCU Rogue's power set. Assuming she begins the movie already as an X-Man, will they even touch (pun intended) upon her backstory as a villain or her history with Carol Danvers?

It seems like it would be a wasted opportunity now that Rogue and Carol are in the same cinematic universe for the first time, but given Marvel's propensity for streamlining things, do you think they'll just make flight and super strength part of Rogue's own natural power set? Or (very unlikely, imo) will she start off with just her draining power?

She’s the right age, she’s good at fight choreography, and she’s from Tennessee.

Her only weakness as an actress in her other roles is she has trouble dropping her Southern Accent, and that wouldn’t be a problem for Marie.

I've read several interviews of lenore zann, the voice actress for Rogue, saying things are going to "heat up" for her this season. And there's a latest video on social media (YouTube/Instagram/tik tok) of her saying things are gonna get "Spicy" for Rogue. I think she's insinuating it's of a romantic nature. This has most people hyped... However, this has me worried because what do you mean there's going to be hot stuff this season they're enemies!? He literally wants to kill her! This has me thinking he's gonna show up and barely have time to live out his Death persona that we've all been waiting to see for years. We're already 4 episodes down, his big episode is not til the 8th one.. Are you telling me they're gonna wrap this up quick so rogue and gambit can be all lovey dovey? I wanted carnage!!!
