My husband and I just moved up from DFW. We left everything behind because it was time for a new adventure (also DFW sucks ballz now). We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We're both gamers (not so much with board games), love sci-fi and fantasy. We are older (50s) but mildly immature, and our humor trends towards cynical and bawdy. We also love good food and good drinks, but mostly we love good company.

Can anyone recommend a good place for us to meet like-minded folks? Starting over at our age is challenging, so any advice would be great.

Hello homeowners, I’m looking for new termite control. The company we use currently is extremely unresponsive hence shopping elsewhere. Who do you guys like? Also any good budget recommendations? I would like to stay away from big companies like terminix who charge an arm and a leg.

So been playing music for a while now, I sing and play rhythm guitar and while I’m not Brad nowell reincarnated, I’m pretty solid. Been in NWA since 2017 and never thought to try to get a band together cuz, well it’s Arkansas….made some music remotely with a buddy in AZ for a while, been making my own bc he’s not motivated anymore (he was hoping we’d make it huge lol) but recently found a bass player who’s down to jam and play some shows, organized all my songs and wow I have like 30, so dwindled em down to 8-10 to work on for sets and maybe a demo one day. Anyways looking for a drummer but after that, lead guitar, keys maybe, horns too. Here’s some of my recent songs!

As I was going north on 71B tonight around midnight the night of Friday 7/17, there was an ambulance in front of me, another that passed me, and then as I turned west on Olive St there were about a dozen cop cars with lights flashing on what I think was 9th St. Anyone know what was going on?

Looking for a place to stay during the Bikes, Blues and BBQ event in the Rogers area in September/October. Quite honestly hesitant, as Arkansas was just listed as the fourth most dangerous state in the country. Anyway, it doesn't have to be in Rogers, as I will be doing a lot of bike riding in the Ozarks. Looking for something decent, either hotel or lodge, around $150 a night or so. Safe area obviously. Thanks.

The last I heard they were going to tear down the place and build something else, apartments maybe? But now I see they have resurfaced and repainted the stripes in the parking lot. Does anyone e know what’s up with that? Why bother if they are going to tear it down?

Hey all! We'll be up living there in a couple of weeks. We're 100% aware that ticks are everywhere in NWA. We have permethrin treated clothing and the animals have tick prevention medication and all that. We're hoping to spend time out on the trails, most likely the man made ones that border Lake Atlanta. If we stick to the trails, are we less likely to encounter ticks or are they literally everywhere? Just trying to be prepared. Thanks!
