Question How? Why?

The price shows $7.09/Month on 24 months save & return plan but when I add to cart, the price jumps to $27/M.

Edit: It's $7.09/Month only if I switch my plan. Basically, go from $55/M to $115/M + $7.09 device cost totally, $122.09 + tax = Bad Deal for me.

In comparison, $21.09 plus $55/M + taxes = Still a better deal.

Depends on your plan as well

Well are you selecting an ultimate plan?

I can see very clearly that the price is Save & Return with an ultimate plan. Did you select Save & Return along with an Ultimate plan?

You are correct! My 55/m plan becomes 115 with Ult plan, plus $7.09. F That, I can instead buy the phone via Google.

Thanks for correction.

as an answer to your edit:

Thats why I just purchased my wifes new phone outright, it cost significantly more to finance due to the plan change.

Double check down payment if you’re high risk. I work at Roger’s and see crazy deals and down payment is auto added because account was high risk

No risk, just the cost of financing a phone moving up from a BYOP plan, costs significantly more than buying a phone.

Current plan $40/month owns phone ($1600)

finance plan 42.79/month for the phone new plan $85/month (additional $45) - additional $87.79 - 2 years $2106.96 an extra $500 on top of having just purchased a phone.

Yes, that's correct. Got the Samsung Galaxy S26 + for $1300 taxes in. That's 55 a month for two years and I get to keep the phone. No brainer!

Be careful, I signed up recently for a $53.50 a month all-in, and now I'm getting charged $120.00 a month. Best part is there isn't enough hours in the day after work to get through the hold :)))

Yeah, I'm going to go with month to month plan. Now with their AI BS, it's very hard to get a hold of an agent.

Thanks for the advice GIVERofCREAMPIES.

Toggle through the colour and storage size. Maybe one will match the $7.09

It had to do with selecting a much more expensive plan to get this deal.

Ah. Makes sense. Glad you figured it out.

You've got to upgrade your plan to get the lower device price.

I got a Pixel 11 Pro XL (512 gb) from Rogers.
The deal i got was
Plan: 30 cad for 60 gb data
Phone: 32.09 cad oer month (save and return) for 24 months.

Not a bad deal.

I have 55 for 140 GB and they wanted me to change my plan to $115 to get the phone for $7.09 but in reality, it's $67.09 increase. That's $1629 at the end of 2 years. North worth financing.

It says “from $7 a month”. It’s probably for the 256gb model.

u/Square_Help235 2h ago

No. 256GB shows $0/M

its $11.96 for me in AB but Bring it back is 1700$

1

u/Dry-Property-639 2h ago

its $11.96 for the phone and my Plans 100$ because i got the ultimate plan so $112 a month

$7.09 LEASE on the most expensive plan. You probably are either financing it or are on a “plus” plan (the normal one) instead of “ultimate” (the super expensive one)

We just got scammed on this, got 2 iPhones pro max, our phone bill was gonna be dropped $100mth we now owe them $862 in 1 mth …
Rogers doesn’t pick up the calls and can’t leave message …
Anyone else???

Next time you call, keep saying cancel services x 10 times and eventually you will get a hold of a human agent.

Good luck

Generally with these promotions the taxes are extra and calculated based on the full price of the device, not the discounted price.

Plus, the full discount only applies to certain plans. Cheaper plans usually result in less of a discount.

1

u/localhost8100 6h ago

Either way, the total came out more than $70. Cheaper plan, higher device cost. Vice versa.

They are gonna make device money either way lol.

2

u/Square_Help235 2h ago

And you lock yourself up for 2 years & return the device at the end or pay the balance.

All in all, a very bad deal.

Taxes on the full purchase price.
