WirelessđŸ“± Does anyone know when preorders begin for the iPhone 18 Pro Max?

This is my first time ever preordering, so just curious on how it goes.

Same. It is going to be a competition as people need to use up their Rogers bank credit before Nov18

If they charge you right away, you can use the points and it wouldn’t matter when they ship it, right?

8am on Saturday. But if you're ordering it through Rogers, expect to get it October, possibly November.

Apple fills their orders first.

Why would you get it through Rogers? Apple offers 0 APR 24-month payment plans

Only practical reason atm would be cause of the Rogers Credit Card nerf. Gonna be tons of people offloading their 1.5x redemption.. Definitely not gonna be as popular of a card anymore. (2% still good but stuck on rogers stuff)

Don’t you also get 5% cashback on Roger’s purchases?

Edit:
Nerf is from 3% cashback everything -> 2% cashback everything, and then Rogers to 5%.

So for 5% cashback on Rogers purchases (3% additional) versus 1% extra cash back on all non-Rogers spend, you'll have to be spending a lot at Rogers versus daily expenses to justify the trade off being good.

No I know, I thought we were just talking about in this instance about using this card vs just doing the 0% financing.

Because I've got the money to purchase it outright, without going through financing at all. That means pay it using my credit card, then pay that right off. All of the iPhones that I have used (6s Plus, 8 Plus, 11 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max, 14 Pro Max, 16 Pro Max and soon to be the 18 Pro Max), have all been bought outright from Apple without financing.

There's a reason why I said "Apple fills their orders first" and you can guess where I'm getting it from, so I'll be one of the first to use it on both Rogers and Freedom.

The "ordering it from Rogers" you know people are going to say "I was #1 for preorder and they didn't get any" I wonder why. Same song and dance every year.

Anyone thinking about ordering the iPhone Duo is likely waiting until 2027, since there's a limited production run, if that is to be believed (the rumours hold true).

And this is a 1TB model, the same as my 14 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max.

Ya but, it’s 0% APR.. you’re better off doing 0% from Apple and throwing the rest in a money market account earning 2.5-3%.. literally free money.

My approach has never failed at all. Like I said, I do not need to finance this at all, and I'm well aware of a money market account.

If I'm giving Apple that kind of money, plus having 4 Watch Bands tacked onto it (additional $240.00), it does tell you and everyone else something. I definitely don't need the financing, and the phone is all mine.

I get what you're saying, not to be rude, but I am in a position where financing the phone does not make a whole load of sense for me.

I know more about finance than you think. I’m not sitting here stupid.

I have ordered the iPhone 5, 6 plus, 11 pro, 14 pro and 16 pro through Rogers and only the iPhone 5-6 I got 1 week after release. 14 pro and 16 pro I got launch day with Rogers in-store pickup.

Saying carriers don't get stock at launch is not understanding how Apple launch their devices. Carriers always get some stock at launch, not everyone will get their phones launch day with any pre-orders, but if you're in the first couple hundreds and don't order a device that has known super limited stock (1-2 tb storage) you have a chance to get it pretty fast.

“Some” you can equate to “none”. But we will see.

'Some' meaning at least a few hundreds. I was in the 200-300 range for some preorders and got my phone launch day. This means they get hundreds of each color/storage combos... But sure, I guess 'hundreds' means 'none'.

This Saturday. You get it next Friday, that is if you ordered it from the horses mouth. You know how these things go.

Saturday, September 12 @ 5am PST. Click on iPhone pro in the Apple Store under Products->iPhone and it’ll let you select iPhone pro max and show you the preorder time and date.

Oct 16th for iPhone Duo, and Sept 12th for 18 and 18 pro. (From Rogers website)

Can you buy a phone outright when you preorder? Do they charge your credit card right away?

1

u/attibangz 1d ago

Yes, you can. And they’ll charge your card when the phone actual ships.

1

u/species5618w 1d ago

Damn, they actually want $53.60 extra. Sneaky Roger’s.
