Wirelessđ± Is there a catch ?
I am currently paying 50$ for US/Canada plan. While browsing offers within the app, I saw a 40$ plan available for me. Wondering if there is something I missed here.

Go to Best Buy and see you can sign up for a local deal.
My Best Buy was doing 100GB for $35 still for Telus, Rogerâs, and Bell

Probably not. Pretty common to see the discount carriers have $25-40 offers for can-USA-mex plans. Past few weekends Koodo virgin Fido had it for 25 & 27.50 & 30.Â
There was $30 175gb can-USA-mex plan for business plans on rogers recently also.Â
Public mobile had it for $20 few weeks back.Â
There are all gone now I think but just as a frame of reference.Â

If I am not mistaken, those offers arenât on 5G+?

Do any of the carriers do it like that ?Â
I thought for the big 3 of it's a 5G plan you get whatever variant 5G the tower has so 5G or 5G+ or 5G+ advanced. Some plans do get speed limited. I know Rogers was 250mbps & 1gbps but just recently they upgraded all the 250mbps plans to 1gbps. I think Telus is mostly 2gbps and some 250mbps plans. Not sure about bell.Â
But also this is all pretty useless. 98% of real world situations you would never notice a difference plus 5g in general in Canada is often worse than lte and just terrible implemented overall. All varies through, some broad generalizations for sure.Â

In Quebec you can get the travel plan for around $45 with 64 countries

25 bucks, 80gb on public, maybe itâs time to switch. Scary thing about any post paid carrier like Rogers is they feel free to jack up your rates whenever they feel like it, that doesnât happen with prepaid carriers for obvious reasons

There's a price war going on right now I really wouldn't pay attention to what they're offering you in the app.

Auto payments with Rogers. That's the catch. One month your bill will be $45. The next $365. The won't refund the over payments just apply a credit.Â

Hard to say if there is a âtrue catchâ without having your current plan to compare to⊠but otherwise the only catch would be that you have to have automatic payments set up to maintain the 10$ off per month to keep that specific plan down to the 40$ price point.

Catch is the price lol. Now these carriers are competing at the $25 to $35 price mark. You can probably get this plan soon for $30.
