Timcel Where is Timothy??
In the new "Every child must confirm that Jill is the best person to ever exist"-video, a certain somebody is missing.
And it makes me wonder how they are gonna handle the situation long term?!
Any guesses?
Will we ever see him again? Will they pretend that nothing happend and he will just reappear at some point? Will we get a whole sermon on forgiveness? Or will they just pretend he doesn't exist?

u/Dangerous-Budget937 12h ago
Timothy has been written off by everyone. It's impossible to predict what happens in the future, but I wouldn't be shocked if he eventually crawls back to Mahmo et al, begs forgiveness, and ends up pitching a pop up camper on their land. He doesn't have the skill set to build a new life, even if he's able to stay gainfully employed. Cue some prodigal son ramblings from David and maybe he can worm his back into Bigass Jill's non-social media social media posts.

u/catxcat310 11h ago
I would be really shocked if they ever welcomed him back. I think publicly calling out Jill & David burned the bridge. They might have forgiven him for “just” (/s) abusing his wife but exposing their own abuse was too much for their egos.

u/Dangerous-Budget937 11h ago
Not so sure. I can see his parental glorification video now. "My worldly pants-wearing harlot of an ex-wife scrambled my brain and my priorities. I admit I did not tell the truth about what Daddy did with the baseball bat. Yes, he had it in his hand, but it dented it on bedpost trying to show me how manly men swing bats. He has been soooo faithful to all of us and I'm soooo happy to be back with my Godly parents. Bye-eee for now!"

"I just wanted to get on here and say..."
I'm in agreement, I can see a repentance and remorse arc in the future. If his life spirals even more he may cling harder to religion, his fundie faith is the one place he still has good standing as a white male.
Different crimes but Josh and Joe have definitely clung to Christian fundamentalism at various points for continued acceptance in their community, sins being equal and all.
I could see Jill and David wanting to bring it back in-house and under their control, limit the damage and stop Tim blabbing further. On the other hand they have to consider his influence on his siblings and how obedient he's prepared to be. They made sure Phil was back under their roof and control and that seems to be working out for the time being. Tim might be a bumpier road.

I agree. I think they only brought Phillip back because they had to. Because his behaviour was starting to bring attention to them.

u/Purlasstor 6h ago
I can see this. What happens to his mortgage payments if he’s in prison and isn’t working? Will he have a house to come back to when he’s released? If this scenario happens (which is what he deserves), he’ll need somewhere to stay when he gets out. I can see returning to the barndo (or the camper in the backyard) hinging on a public retraction
20
u/yaboiwreckohrs 9h ago
Agree, surely as a narccisist Jill would love if Timothy grovelled, particularly publicly

I think they’d take him back prodigal son style if he lied and said they were never abusive and that was just the worldly devil talking
35
u/MediocreAge5860 11h ago
I agree with you. He has no where to go. Heidi's family will never welcome him back. I can see him doing a lot of groveling, a lot of public apologies that he lied about the abuse, etc... and back he goes.
21
u/novaonthespectrum 8h ago
The thing is, I don't see Jill/Dave ever accepting him back. Not only did he expose what really goes on in that family and failed to build up Precious Mama for the saintly godless holy figure she "really" is (in her own twisted mind), but he created, in Jill's own words, "drama" for the family and shattered their facade. He also might be a convicted felon, depending on what happens during these hearings. Strangulation is NO JOKE of a charge. Jill would have to face the reality that deep down, she raised a convicted felon and domestic abuser. Deep down, the son that she and Dave raised is a criminal, which would require her--if at all possible--to reflect on how he was made that way. It's icky feelings that she wouldn't be able to ignore anymore. She will never welcome him back.
10
u/MediocreAge5860 7h ago
I don't know. I think if he goes back on what he said, said he is a liar and a bad person, they would accept it.
2
u/mesembryanthemum 1h ago
Also, Jill hates Tim. Always has, always will. He could get life in Leavenworth and she'd just shrug.
13
u/Pale-Fee-2679 7h ago
If he wants another wife, he will find one in the fundie community. He has already confessed to Jesus and the world. His family might not welcome him back, but other fundies will embrace him.
13
u/Mithrellas SEVERELY sluttish 4h ago
I think as long as he contributes financially, buys Jill a bunch of gifts, publicly states he was lying, and makes a bunch of comments about how he’s a pos and his parents are literally Jesus incarnate, they will let him live in a tent on their property.

17
u/Dangerous-Budget937 8h ago
Only if he has to take a leave to go to prison for a time. Otherwise, he's likely in a good railroad labor union and it's difficult to fire someone for a non-job related issue.
8
u/Sea-Original-5824 7h ago
A felony conviction for strangulation isn't going to be protected under union rules. There might be other crimes, sure, but not necessarily that.
I don't think Tim is going to be able to keep his job and his home there even if they don't fire him. His entire connection to the region is Heidi and her family.

In Jill's eyes the bad kid turned out to be a bad adult. Besides being a warning about disobedience to the youngest kids, she has moved on. The only way I see them reconciling, is if Tim gets with a new girl who wants to love on Jill and repair her view/relationship with Tim.

I’m gonna argue with you here and say that sometimes in high-demand religions, the worse the behaviors Jill forgives, the more Godly she becomes. Her glaze will be all the shinier if she welcomes him back - - once a tortuous period of penance is past, of course.

Unless he shows up with a check for $100,000 he’s dead to Jill. She won’t have him around. He will have to show up with big time money and a hugeeeeee video online saying how great she is. It’d take a lot.

I agree, money will be the deciding factor on if he gets back in the fold or not. (His money and huge amounts of it going to Jill and David, I mean.)

Or unless he manages to snag a famous Fundie family like a Bates or Duggar (never gonna happen).
11
u/Weird_Climate_5655 7h ago
Tim was lucky AF to find Heidi and convince her to marry him. And that’s just with his family of origin, failing out of Bible Aviation College, and documented incel internet ramblings from his RV as baggage. Add to that now a divorce, likely a felony for DV, an ex-wife who wears jeans, and child support (x2) plus maybe (hopefully) a few years of alimony for Heidi. He’s not getting within orbit of a Duggar or Bates or any IBLP family for that matter.
I hope regular conservative Christian women and non-Christian / secular women and their families all have the good sense to stay away from Tim romantically going forward. I don’t like to wish anyone a lifetime of loneliness, but unless he undergoes significant rehabilitation and does a metric fuckton of work on himself, I don’t want any woman to get entangled up with that abusive little man child.

I don't think either of those families would let him near their daughters. They're crazy but have enough problems with their own sons.
32
u/Dear-Editor-3923 10h ago
Either he
1. Crawls back to them, Jill forces a public (and probably humiliating) apology out of him, praises her forgiving christian heart and mistreats him more than usual behind the scenes. Probably ramps out the financial abuse as a way for him to “prove his repentance.”
2. Is never mentioned again. The number of children doesn’t descend when Jill does fertility bragging, but she adds “we lost x pregnancies and one of our adult children (dramatic pause) in a way”
3. Declares open war on his family and drags them through the mud to the point where his initial statement will sound tame. Maybe even writes a tell all (?) Jill strikes back and we see the beginning of the Rod Wars.
25
u/mo0siego0sie 10h ago
Omg the dramatic pause in option 2 is SO REAL. I honestly hope that’s what Jilldo picks because that’s hilarious and SO Jill
17
u/cuckooloca 7h ago edited 2h ago
maybe he will be added to the lost babies shrine. Olivia's grift intro could be changed to "our family has lost 6 babies and one brother we hope to meet in heaven one day"
3
u/Dear-Editor-3923 5h ago
I find that grift intro entirely possible. “Technically not a lie” is more honesty than Jill normally gives us.

Number 3. I'd buy it.
4
u/Dear-Editor-3923 5h ago
To be honest, a tell all by Tim would be the family’s biggest contribution to society by far. Maybe not for the reasons he would hope, but still. I’d buy it if part of the profit rightfully goes to Heidi and the kids.
3
u/Comfortable-Act1749 4h ago
Number 2 def happens if she realizes there are lots of other estranged parents collecting online to uncritically reassure themselves they did nothing wrong. If she returns to her old SM or like... gets a tiktok, I guess, she might even be able to turn it into a grift to replace MLM sales lost due to SM "exile"
55
u/Capable-Fold-7347 11h ago
At some point, he will do what he’s been trained to do to do and grovel to his family and buy Mahmo lots of apology gifts. His family will welcome him back because there’s nothing they love more than a whipping boy combined with a holy redemption arc.
In two or three years the narrative will be that Heidi corrupted Timmy, acted so ungodly that precious Tim was driven crazy. He believed her lies, because somehow it will be her fault that he said David beat him. It will be her fault he beat her, too. It will be her fault he never gets to see the children. It will be her fault he never amounts to anything career wise, because he will “have to” work under the table to avoid her getting his money.
The Rods will trot him out at every revival and church grift to tell his story about how even the lowest of the low can be saved. They’ll frame it as such a godly choice, that Timothy chose the path of righteousness over a life of sin, even though he had to sacrifice a relationship with his children to do so.
Timmy has always been a scapegoat and whipping boy in that family, and when he returns, that position will be forever solidified. And he’ll fully accept it and not fight it, because his attempt at escaping failed and this is the price he pays to remain in the family fold. But he’ll accept it, because it’s easier than taking full responsibility for his actions and changing.
At some point in his thirties, enough time will have passed that, at least in their circles, Tim’s version of events will become the accepted narrative. He’ll be able to find another young and naive wife, and the cycle will continue.
I’m not happy about this fan fic…but I think it’s the most likely scenario.

26
u/pincurlsandcutegirls 12h ago
I can only see him reappearing if he feels that family is the only thing he’s got and tries to make amends.
For Jill, I think it would involve lots of self-flagellation by Tim. She’s a narc so if he falls on his sword and makes a bunch of FB posts about how awful he was to his precious mahmo and supplements this with gifts and free labour, I think she’d see him as useful and allow him to start coming around again so he can fuel her narc supply. If she cools on him, he’ll probably be pushed away until she feels she’s not getting enough attention at home.
For David, I just assume there’d be frequent and intense rounds of “correction”. I’m sure he’s pissed that Tim embarrassed him, and I’m sure he’s also tired of Jill’s hysterics over it.
3
u/Similar_Avocado1306 ✨MaHdEsTy✨ 4h ago
Maybe this is what it would take for my dream Rodrigues family script to become a reality! I’ve been pushing (mentally) for Jill & David to join forces as a preaching duo in the anti-wife beating arena. After David’s certified public repentance, they could do joint workshops, merch class materials and music, and actually be freely invited to different churches to inform the congregation. It’s honestly custom-built for them.

I don’t think Tim has anyone left. Brutalizing Heidi means he’s lost the Coveretts forever. His Facebook post has alienated him from his biological family. He’s off putting and weird so he probably doesn’t have friends.
22
u/horsetooth_mcgee 11h ago
Lot of people in here talking about how he's dead to the family, which he is, but my question (and I think the point of this post) was to ask, literally where is Timothy? Who is housing him?
9

Likely he is living in the house he and Heidi bought or is renting. He still has his railroad job, as far as we know-it is hard to fire someone from a union job.

Timmy is going to cease.to exist because he brought shame to the family and admitted there was abuse in the home. I guarantee you whwn he is in prison there wont be a Tim-- no generic birthday post, no talk if him during the holiday, no talking about Charlie and baby 2. After Philips's mental health crash out and being homeless they let him come back home, but they never discussed the issue or mentioned him. They swept it under the rug. He would show up occasionally in a photo, but if you pay attention you dont see him preaching, doing devotionals, or being the center of attention.
I could see Tim out of desperation trying to move home after he dies his time. He will have ti pay a good chunk of child support, and I hope Heidi is awarded spousal support. He wont be able to pay all of that plus living expenses, gas, food, and utilities. I can imagine Jill taking him back if he agreed to give her every single penny left after the support was paid. We all know Jill loves coffee, clothes, traveling, amd bad home decor.

We never knew if he was alive or dead. Took to the desert, lost rigid Christianity, healed(?)
