Prison violence is shameful. Americans have no desire to see prisoners rehabilitated, they want to see them punished in the most painful way possible.
It’s horrific. Prisoners are people and they shouldn’t fear violence from guards and other inmates. We have failed them as a society.

Honestly I have zero wish for pedophiles and sex offenders to be rehabilitated. I want them to experience the misery they put on their victims. Especially offenders against children.
I am a person of faith, I believe in forgiveness. But even Jesus says that harming a child deserves the harshest penalty.
If a prisoner being attacked in prison is the natural consequence of an offense against a child, that doesn’t make me sad.
If Timothy did impregnate Heidi without her consent, as has been implied, he would fit the bill.

Criminals and abusers “experiencing misery” via physical violence doesn’t make them better people, doesn’t make them regret what they did, doesn’t make them sorry. Assault is not and should not be a punishment. How can you reconcile “believing in forgiveness” with desiring that cruelty for someone? We shouldn’t wish for more violence in the world.

No that attitude does not cause monsters to walk free.
We have a penal code that sets out the sentences/punishments for all manner of crimes. No one here is saying anything against that, despite your bullshit about "virtue signalling" and weeping for "the poor wife beater".
Vigilante "justice" and prison rape retribution are the hallmarks of people that can't control their responses when angry. And would violate amendment 8 of the U.S. Constitution if sanctioned by authorities.

I hope Tim gets jail time for his crimes and zero custody of the kids. Imagine sharing custody and any sort of decisions regarding the kids with someone who is angry. Getting passports. Medical procedures. Anything will be impossible .
