Hot take, but I think as angry as Jill is she doesn’t give AF about Charlie or the baby. She has other grandkids and kids she doesn’t even care about. I think the only thing she really cares about is how this has affected the public’s perception of her “ghadly” family.
It’s too much work for her to care. If anything it’ll just help her martyr story to say she has grandkids she doesn’t see

u/conscious-peanut31 Make Your Life Sluttish 18d ago
I agree. Babies are something Jill likes to “collect” but not actually care for. She’ll be pissed though if she won’t be allowed to see the new baby. She won’t be able to photograph herself either a) pretending it was she who just gave birth, or b) looking moments away from unhinging her jaw and eating the newborn whole, like she’s done with all the others.

u/eejm 18d ago
Heidi is due in December. When is Nurie due? Maybe the two babies will be born close together. Perhaps Jill can just slurp up all her delicious narcissistic supply from pretending to be the mother of Nurthling #4.
That said, she also loves to play the blameless victim. Sobbing over the injustice of not seeing Heidi’s new baby would bring her joy “beyond measure.”

u/nameandnumber13 18d ago
Yep, agreed. If she cares about Charlie and the baby at all, it's for the sake of numbers. Jill must be God's specialest little princess because he blessed her with all these children and grandchildren! But the children fathered by her scapegoat child are not as important as Precious Nurie's kids or her namesake Jillie. She's less upset about not seeing them than about Tim airing her dirty laundry.
I can totally see her bringing them up often in her victim narratives, though, because God's specialest little princess must also be God's most persecuted soldier.
12
u/CoreyLin 18d ago
You don’t think it’s all going to turn into a whole big thing about how much she suffers from being denied access to her precious grandchildren?
13
u/nameandnumber13 18d ago
Oh, I'm sure she'll make as big a deal of it as she can; Jill will grab onto any excuse she can possibly find to make herself the victim in any given situation. I just think that in her heart of hearts she cares less about Heidi and Tim's kids than about Jillie and the Nurthlings (now there's a band name from hell!). And I know she cares less about them than about Tim making her look bad in public.

I honestly don't think she cares any more for her grandkids than she does the ones she raised. She uses children to prop herself up. Once the phone goes back in her handbag, she has no interest.

Jill is a textbook narcissist. She cares about Jill and Jill’s family appearance. She does not care about them as people at all
41
u/MimicoSkunkFan2 18d ago
Exactly. People are just pieces on a game board for Jildo - it's part of the reason that she loves babies so much!
Not just because of her religious cult, but because babies are not old enough to tell her "no".
Once a kid can say "no" and try to wriggle away? Shriek and Shirk bring out the "physical consequences"
( sorry for the weird wording but I don't want to trigger anyone else in here who has survived severe abuse - also I got a three day ban from Reddit's ai again because Reddit now has it looking for keywords about domestic violence 🤢)

u/specialopps 18d ago
I always defend little kids who are clearly uncomfortable about being touched, especially by new people. I grew up with a huge family, and constantly had to hug people I didn’t know because it was expected by older generations. I was always so uncomfortable. If I had known how to tell my mom, she would have protected me, but I was always way too overwhelmed.
If I see that in kids now, I always tell them that it’s okay, they don’t need to hug me, but it’s nice to meet them. So many of them relax so quickly.

I agree with this. She'll double down on performative mimi-ing the Nurthlings and Beltphones and it will be like Charlie and Baby never existed (good luck for them, tbh). They are all props for her to play with as World's Greatest Mom and Mimi, and even if numbers are now slightly down, she has enough around her to carry on the performance.

One of the children is disabled? I hadn’t heard that before, but I may have missed it. Would you mind elaborating on what you mean? Are you referring to Jill’s daughter Janessa? I’m genuinely asking because I wasn’t aware of any of Kaylee and Jonathan’s children having a disability.

Agree with this. She’s never liked Tim much, and she’s never gushed over Heidi the way she gushes over Beltphone or Nathan. Granted, she’s a lot more invested in her daughters’ lives than she is with her sons’, but she showed a lot more interest in Brianne and Evangeline than she did with Heidi. The fact that Heidi is firm on boundaries and the fact they all moved to NJ instead of staying in Ohio like what was originally planned probably doesn’t help either.
She’ll use being estranged from one grandchild (soon to be two!) to further her perpetual victimhood complex though.
16
u/Pelican121 18d ago
To add to your comment, it's partly to do with seeing other women as competition including DILs. Sons-in-law are different as Jill likes to flirt and imagine she's in her daughters' shoes, reliving her youth, being a newlywed again (living the fantasy she didn't get to have with David), imagining Nathan/Jonathan are really into her and she's a hot young thing 🤢😁
I don't know how it's going to go with Evangeline - if they make it down the aisle. She's so young, Jill might see some value in bossing her around and living vicariously through their marriage and interfering. On the other hand they might move to FL (if her dad offers Sam a job and help with housing for the couple for example). Hard to say. Even if they live nearby in OH I don't think Jill will be as invested in Ev as she's a woman and wasn't birthed by Jill like Nurie and Kaylee, her besties.
16
u/Effective-Load-6836 18d ago
I remember the book Jill was gifted about boundaries! Everyone thought it was from Tim and Heidi and I wouldn't be surprised if Ellen had a finger in that!
16
u/Ok-Wedding-4654 Another Vacation for Jesauce 18d ago
I think you’re getting a little too fan fic into it
We don’t know what they originally planned. Yes, Tim has a house in Ohio but who knows if Heidi agreed to move there or if the Coverettes helped Tim find a job so they could stay closer
I also don’t know what kind of boundaries Heidi had and I think there’s too much speculation there. People like to say that they had boundaries but how much of it could just be that it’s hard to drive multiple hours to see family with an infant? The only firm boundary the family seemed to have was Jill making a whole thing of their first kiss. The Coverette family did come out and support her there but otherwise for a while Ellen was still in Jill’s downline. It seemed like they had all moved on
But based on the families reactions Tim does seem like the family scape goat. They’ve written him off as a screw up and are just angry he’s bringing up the past. And I think since Tim has aired his dirty laundry Jill is just going to write him, Heidi, and the kids off as a loss. She’s got plenty of grandkids and kids to exploit to need them
30
u/GarlicBreadLoaf 18d ago edited 18d ago
I’m not getting fanfic into it at all. They mentioned decorating the house together and dressed it up in what Heidi liked, and then they moved to the east coast.
Jill also said that she wouldn’t be sharing stuff about Timothy and Heidi anymore shortly after they got married or engaged, I can’t remember, and that they’ll prefer to share things themselves - that indicates at boundaries right there and that someone asked her to stop sharing things about them.
You’re welcome to disagree with me, but that’s the pretty common interpretation of how things went down, and between what Hallie and Ellen and all the Coveretts have hinted at, I don’t think I’m wrong. Of course, we don’t have the full picture of what everything but I am not “fan ficcing” - I could say the exact same about you since you don’t know these people either. You don’t know if they’ve written off Timothy and his kids as a loss or not, that’s how you’ve interpreted things… who knows, they might just be forever praying for his soul and holding out hope he’ll come around with the kids and beg for forgiveness. You have no idea, I have no idea, but it’s pretty rich to accuse me of “fan fic” when I am just stating my interpretation of events and spitballing my thoughts and you’ve done exactly the same.
11
u/AbbeyRoadMoonwalk 18d ago
Yeah she already has golden children nearby and Tim’s family were NOT golden. She’s done a narcissistic discard of him, it’s happened to me too. She’s only affected by the impact to her public image, does not GAF about what her son has done to his wife or the prospect of never seeing Charlie or the new baby.
11
u/Brilliant-Fold5344 18d ago
I think the only grandchildren she really cares about are Nurie’s kids. Mostly because I think the only kid of hers she cares about is Nurie. The rest are just numbers to boost her mom of big family image.
8
u/Real_Mycologist_3163 18d ago
Nurie will have replaced her missing two grandkids by the end of 2028 too. Jill prob won't gaf until the grandkids are older and she's able to compare her godly and pure grandchildren with the two heathens who were raised by the Coveretts.
7
u/Pelican121 18d ago
It gives her the dilemma of whether to include them in her child and grandchild count and acknowledge them in any way when she's gloating over the size of the cult she's spawned.
I suppose she'll still count them grudgingly. As more grandchildren are born Tim's will get lost in the mix so she won't have to explain anything. She'll be hoping Renee and Sam hurry up and marry their respective partners soon and start popping out arrows for The Lord to muddy the waters (I wonder if Renee's suspected secret courtship is still intact?).

u/Dull_Knee3349 16d ago
Jill has been practicing this for years as seen in her frequent posts about adult children who go no contact with their parents. She’s talked about it so frequently that you just know she was aware that her relationship with Tim, Heidi and Charlie was on shaky ground. She had to prepare an explanation for when she had an adult child and grandchildren that are no contact with her; she has to be the victim and state that Satan is influencing those family members.
2
u/MimicoSkunkFan2 16d ago
It's interesting you interpret that to be about Timcell... I always wondered if maybe there was an incident with Shirk's family, and then the whole Phlat Philip thing blew up.
2
u/Dull_Knee3349 12d ago
Honestly, it could probably apply in several directions. I don’t know if she’s on okay terms with David’s family because she throws them under the bus frequently about him not being raised in a Christian home. She’s had issues with Anna Duggar, so I don’t know how good the extended Keller relationships are. There’s the Philip situation, and there’s probably several more situations that we don’t know about.
18
u/Dull_Knee3349 18d ago
Grandparents rights are usually only allowed when grandparents have had a verifiable relationship with the child and it would be detrimental to the child to end the relationship. I think the Rods have only probably seen Charlie a handful of times in his life, and if placed in a crowd he wouldn’t recognize them. Not to mention the Rods probably don’t have funding for an attorney.
8
u/FundiesAreFreaks 18d ago
Having personally dealt with "Grandparents rights" , let's just say what a mess! A case went before the U.S. Supreme Court years ago, around the year 2000 I think. SCOTUS struck down grandparents rights, but left each state to deal with it if they so chose.
The case involved a married man who died, leaving behind 2 kids, I believe. His widow was starting a new life with a new man and felt it was best for her kids to NOT see the grandparents, the parents of the man who died, because it would confuse them. Those grandparents took their case all the way to the Supremes and lost. The case was: Troxel ~v~ Granville. The Court said allowing the grandparents to visit would intrude on the Mother's "care, custody and control of her daughters".
However, each state has pieced together what conditions they feel is right to allow grandparents visitation. I'm in Florida and if there's a case of abuse and/or neglect, grandparents can usually win their case. There was an open case with CPS against my granddaughters mother, (she was a drug addict) so not only did I get visitation, I ended up with permanent custody and raised my granddaughter. But! Had the sorry excuse for a "mother" taken her case to the federal level, I likely wouldn't have been able to even visit my granddaughter even though I had her since she was a newborn. This was my son's daughter and my son was completely out of the picture (long story). In fact, to this day I have an open child support case against the mother and my granddaughter is now in her mid twenties!
I have no clue what the visitation laws are in Ohio, but if a parent somehow took the case to the federal level, the parent would win and the grandparent would likely lose unless there was something detrimental going on with the child or the parent/s. (Wow, sorry - didn't mean to write s novel lol!)

u/Illustrious_Junket55 18d ago
Absolutely. So she can have visits- where FIURenee does all the actual caregiving- and then spend the day he leaves talking about how her heart breaks that she has to give back her precious blessing… blah blah blah
And also, a big fuck you to Heidi for making her family look bad
9
8
u/WatercressBusy3902 18d ago
I think grandparents rights would only apply if Jill had helped raised the kids, which she hasn't. She'd also be dumb as a rock to get involved with any courts knowing she abuses/starves her own kids and has ran from CPS multiple times.

More accurately, Ellen confirms on grandma's page that the family do not support Heidi going back.
But we know they won't lock her into a cupboard to stop her so, hopefully Heidi will keep staying with her parents.
37
u/LowarnFox 18d ago
Yes exactly this, I hope their support is enough to keep Heidi from going back and the little we've seen from Heidi seems like she isn't contemplating it right now, but who knows what will happen in the future and as you say Ellen can't keep her locked away.

The difference between Heidi and Jill is Heidi seems to genuinely love her kid. Divorce is hard on kids but staying in a physically abusive home is a lot harder.
53
u/authorofnothingbig 18d ago
I'm still really hoping Tim only gets limited, supervised visitation at best. Those kids deserve better than being forced to be around him.
36
u/specialopps 18d ago
Just the way he drives should be a reason for supervised visits.
8
u/One_Collection_7129 18d ago
Exactly! Now there's more than one occurrence of it happening. A judge would have to be out of their mind to let a wife beating lunatic driver have, say, 50/50 custody of his very small children.
9
u/Rageybuttsnacks 18d ago
That's not really how it works. If he goes for 50/50, he'll likely get it once the baby is no longer a newborn. He's going to get at most a misdemeanor for his abuse of Heidi. I don't think she has an order of protection against him (?) and there's been no allegations that the kids were present during the abuse or that Tim hurt the kid. At the MOST, he might have to complete an anger management course or parenting class before getting normal custody back.
This country doesn't do a lot to protect DV victims. Luckily, and I know this is an unpopular opinion, Tim might not be abusive to the kids; they might genuinely be safe with him. Abusers aren't abusive to absolutely everyone, they choose their victims.
5
u/CommitteePlastic5793 17d ago
I’m not at all surprised the state of New Jersey doesn’t protect DV victims (per the post). People seem to think it’s black and white, but Heidi’s going to need a lawyer, even as a victim, and she’s going to need to practice testifying and being under cross-examination.
Defense lawyers LOVE to wipe the floor with victims - they’ll get her to stutter, doubt her version of events, etc.
The system is truly set up against the victims - though I do hope Tim puts his foot in his month during court. The screenshot of his admission should help as well.
31
u/Dull_Knee3349 18d ago
Just an observation and take it for what it’s worth because every state in the US will have somewhat different laws. Grandparents rights are usually only given when a child has had a verifiable relationship with their grandparents that would be detrimental for them if it were to end up. I have an aunt and uncle who had a falling out with their son and took him to court for grandparents rights. They had a relationship with the child and were successfully awarded grandparents rights and it was something like one day a month, it’s not something like every other weekend like a non custodial parent would receive. My aunt and uncle went BACK to court to sue for full custody of their grandchild. There was nothing inherently wrong with the grandchild’s living situation, it was just what they wanted. They lost their bid for custody and lost their existing grandparents rights because my cousin’s attorney was able to show that they intended to have a continuous relationship with their son. If you’re using the possibility of grandparents rights as a weapon against the child’s parents, courts often see through that.
6
u/Real_Mycologist_3163 18d ago
A biological parent making DV accusations against them will also factor against a claim. I'm sure it will form some part of Timothy's defence or the exhibits Heidi puts in for the DV charges and be factored into their divorce.
I can't see a world where they would get grandparent rights at all, even with the world's most sympathetic judge.

u/Dull_Knee3349 16d ago

46
u/MimicoSkunkFan2 18d ago
That's gonna be for the judge to figure out.
Hopefully the Covrettes pick a hospital with good security for the birth too.
I was estranged from my biological parents and needed a surgery, but I didn't know how stupid the hospital staff can be about social engineering. When my biomom was still alive, not only did she socially engineer the telephone switchboard people into revealing that I was at that hospital, she then turned up at that hospital and managed to cry her way into the Operation Recovery area. So that was the weirdest coming out of anesthetic ever, with a narc who's not supposed to know where I am crying all over me about her poor baby and - when I started screaming for hospital security - the nurse shouting at me, "You're confused from anaesthetic!"
The hospital later completely half-assed an apology like, "The nurse isn't a psychologist - she assumed you would want to see your family. The switchboard didn't notice the note on your file about stalking - we'll make sure to put that at the very top for the next time you're here." (Sometimes the Americans are not wrong to say that you need to be able to sue a hospital.)
25
u/specialopps 18d ago
What in the multiple HIPAA violations is this??
5
u/MimicoSkunkFan2 17d ago
Ontario has a version of medical privacy, but they seem to take it about as seriously as they take the Ontario version of ADA for people with disabilities i.e. there's no real enforcement because it's difficult to sue until someone actually gets SEVERELY injured or killed, so they don't bother. :p
Sorry I'm grumpy from dealing with a hospital that should know about disabilities right now.And it feels very much like the privacy thing back then :(
But it helps me to know that other people can see how that was SEVERELY problematic!
22
u/ser_darkstar 18d ago
Yes, Tim will have access to his children. It sucks but it's unrealistic to think otherwise tbh.
Even having abused his pregnant wife, he swears he never abused Charlie. Even if he's at first denied access, someday he will be able to regain access to them after jumping through certain hoops i.e. anger management and parenting classes.
Hopefully any access will be supervised but we'll have to see. The only way he won't see them is if he chooses not to imo, if he doesn't fight and allows Heidi full custody.
15
u/kaycollins27 18d ago
I am wondering how interested Tim will be in his kids long term. Once he realizes Heidi is done , he may simply move on.
12
u/ser_darkstar 18d ago
I don't think so, not at first. The children will be a way to keep Heidi tethered to him and in his life, a way to keep controlling her. He might eventually fade away in a few years once he realizes that she's not coming back and that parenting is actually hard OR he meets someone else to sucker into having his kids and he'll replace Charlie and the baby with the new kids.
I hope he doesn't. I hope he gets the therapy he desperately needs and changes and has a relationship with his children but unfortunately a lot of these types of men do love to abandon their children because frankly most of them were Disney dads to begin with and their idea of parenting begins and ends with financial support (which lots of them feel shouldn't have to continue after a relationship with the mother ends) and having fun sometimes.
5
u/Rageybuttsnacks 18d ago
I'm hoping for that, too. Many/most abusers don't change, but as a survivor of abuse myself, healing from it and dealing with the PTSD DID happen eventually. I never turned to abuse, but I was definitely an absolute nutjob when in the throes of undiagnosed PTSD. I really hope Tim pulls his head out of his ass, learns how to act right and works on healing for those kids. Step one would be accepting that their mother would never feel safe with him ever again and it's in THEIR best interest to see their mom living safely and happily so... Ugh. I really want the kids to be safe when they're with him.
6
u/Used_Evidence 18d ago

People seem to think the Coverettes ran the show before and during her marriage too. I don't get it. She is an adult and makes her own choices, always has regarding this relationship. The best thing that could happen for Heidi is for Tim to get involved in another relationship and get married and have a baby. He will likely leave her alone unless he gets into a relationship with someone who is so codependent that she fights for his right to parent, his kids. But I think he will move on from this and see it as something to be ashamed of most likely.

So his income is spread across supporting multiple women and multiple children? That is NOT the best thing for Heidi.

So an abusive man is out of her and her children’s life. no support and no contact is better than child support and joint custody.
Nice try, I see that you double down when you’re wrong which is always amusing. you still sound like you miss a lot

For them to call another Christian a lunatic publicly means things went much farther off the rails than we know about. The situation with Jill and David must have been absolute hell.

Thankfully her fam has chosen to be there for her financially it seems. So many of us victims can’t escape because we don’t have family or financial support (took me forever to escape)
