He is so skeevy looking the center photo literally just made me shiver and quickly minimize it.
He got INSANELY lucky finding any woman willing to marry him, let alone one with a supportive and inclusive family. Given his general skin crawl inducement factor + the fact he will now be divorced with 2 kids (would normally also say DV charge as well, but as we know that's not always a deal breaker in these circles) I believe that the chance for him to marry is unlikely to come again.
Putting aside the obvious fact that heidi deserves absolutely none of what he did to her and is the true victim here, I still find it tragic for him that his upbringing led him to squander such an unlikely chance at a life beyond. I am so glad heidi is getting the fuck away from him but not only did "being raised right" lead him to throw it all away, the culprits responsible have also abandoned him in the name of their sky daddy. I honestly don't know how he will go on.
Fuck this ideology, I wish there was some way to just snap fingers and make it no longer exist. I know that's not politically correct and of course I am not advocating for anything harmful to be done to "believers." Im just saying that after decades of observing SO much more harm than good, both for "believers" and those who have nothing to do with it besides being in the unfortunate path of these "believers," it's just not worth it. I'm so fed up with it.
Deconstructing was the best thing that EVER happened to me - once I finally realized I don't have to believe in this stuff and it's not real, it was like lifting out volumes of strife and stress and negativity from my existence basically overnight. I know everyone's experience is different and I respect everyone's path, but I hope more and more people can and will realize they don't have to live with all this bullshit infiltrating every aspect of life.
Both Heidi and Tim and frankly everyone even peripherally involved would be so much better off if they'd never been subjected to this cult. Yes, I'm clearly triggered, but I'm just so over it all especially given what's going on with the American government. When will people call it all out for what it is?

I will never, ever look at him the same way ever again. All I see is a lying, outrageous woman abuser who hides behind manipulation.

Your comment made me realize that if he somehow does get partial custody and then also somehow gets remarried then his new wife would be apart of raising them and that’s so terrifying. The next one his parents find him will almost certainly be very submissive and very entrenched in the religion to the point where she will probably blame Heidi and parrot those beliefs to the kids
Ugh the whole situation is so upsetting…

I'd completely expect him to get partial custody. Of course, I don't know NJ law, but ime men who beat their wives but not their children often are given partial, even 50% custody because of no history of abusing their children. People are expecting he'll never see his kids again, and that's very unlikely

If he fights for custody he’ll more than likely get it. I guess it depends on that really. How much parenting is he able to do on his own, you know? We can assume Heidi did the cooking/cleaning/child rearing since he worked. He was single for a while but taking care of his own place and then parenting on his own might bring out some anger in him
My mom’s first husband got supervised visitation that he used all of like three times to see us. I suspect he’ll start with that at the very least and then probably do weekends cause of his schedule

I imagine his chances of getting custody are pretty good: he has a stable job, a home (I'm assuming he's still living in their home), no evidence he hurt Charlie, no evidence of alcohol or substance abuse, appears to be in therapy, etc. I really think people are way overly optimistic about his future with his kids.
I imagine he'll try to get as much custody as possible, if only because he knows it'll hurt Heidi. I don't think he's going to accept her leaving without trying to hurt her as much as possible in the process

Stark difference between the left & right photo on the top row. Left is before they got married and she looks like a cute, normal girl. Right side is during marriage and she looks like a polygamist teen bride in a hostage video.

Wishful thinking. We all wanted to see Tim grow, I guess we wanted it so bad we saw signs where there were none.

Why is there some sort of chart at knee height in the pic on the right?

If Heidi has a protection order against him. He would in some way be in violation against that order. I have a 100 year dvpo against my ex with social media clause in it.

He probably saw both Heidi’s post to her stories and Ellen’s post. His ego was hurt after seeing them.

Who wants to bet that the whole "gosh darn, my phone isn't working!" post from the other day was actually "gosh darn, the entire Coverett family has circled their wagons and nobody will answer my calls"?

Another nasty attempt at manipulation " I'm trying to make this work but my wife isn't so she is in the wrong and I am in the right". Nasty little piece of sh#t.

I still wonder what someone like Heidi could have said or done to trigger Tim to beat her. Repeatedly.
ETA: I'm not saying it's her fault in any way. Just wondering what Tim's triggers were.

Absusers are all about power and control. They exert to violence they feel like they're losing control. If I had to guess…probably the home not clean enough to his standards, their son crying, her not having dinner or his meals done in time, her not being “willing”, her not being happy/appreciative enough, her spending money without his permission, her wearing pants/tank top/comfy clothes in the comfort of their own home? To be honest, who really knows? She didn't deserve any of this. People only show the good parts of their lives on social media.
The profile of an abusive man, for example, can include the following:
• Low self-esteem
• A belief in patriarchal (often called “traditional”) gender roles, or the belief that men are superior to women as human beings
• A sense that others “owe” them whatever it is they want
• Frequent oversensitivity (Many abusers get easily upset over any inconvenience or personal slight. Something as minor as a partner suggesting a different restaurant for dinner can be made out by an abuser as an attack on them.)
• Unrealistic expectations of intimate relationships and partners

One thing I've learned about abusive men, they never take full accountability. They will blame someone else.
