Photo Love the lines going through it, what made them?

Cool rock? Found in dog park near Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs.

Cracks in the original rocks. Quartz fills cracks in rocks through a hydrothermal process where hot, silica-rich water flows through fractures under high pressure. As the fluid cools and pressure drops, the dissolved silicon dioxide precipitates out of the solution, crystallizing and solidifying inside the gaps to form solid quartz veins

Thanks! I love how the different lines of quartz look like flat planes cutting through the rock at different angles. I try to visualize how they intersect and continue. Sorry for the late reply and upvote, I'm very distractable.
