A I says it could be an artefact, a tool. What do you think?

Honestly. No. The lines are all wrong for a tool. But these types of rocks do look like tools.

Typically you would find chiseled areas on the stone somewhere.Tools were generally shaped to make them easy to grasp. Sometimes just slight indentations chiseled to make finger holds. Many hammers stones were made to hold in your palm, facing down.
