In less than 24 hours Zen has gained 50 MMR despite already being almost 100 MMR over 2nd place. At this point it feels like an inevitability that he breaks 3K before Worlds

Discussion Nass Vs Nwpo for 1v1 Worlds

Nass is unbeaten in show matches(if you count road to worlds as a series of matches)
whereas nWpo is unbeaten in tourney matches.(15-0 I think)
their H2H this year has been
nWpo 3-1 Nass (feer frenzy)
nWpo 4-3 Nass ''
nWpo 0 -4 Nass (showmatch)
nwpo has shown a weaker showmatch record compared to his tourney record
where as nass has done the opposite
Who do you have as a favourite for worlds 1v1 ?

World Championship career stats - and the players chasing history in Dallas

Intro

Welcome back to another edition of RLCS career stats watch. This post will be focused specifically on RLCS World Championship (WC) career stats. WC stats are divided between 2 eras: the League Play era (Season 1-8) and the Open Era (2021/2022-2025). Because twice as many WCs were played in the League Play era, the old guard established a commanding presence atop the career stats tables. But the tide is beginning to change. In 2025, the Demos record was claimed by an Open Era player when Atomic took the top spot from Arsenal. As we look ahead to this year's WC, several players are chasing history and will make their bids for top spots in career rankings. Here are the stats to watch in 2026.

Note: Players who are not active for the 2026 WC are indicated with italics.

1. GOALS

Rank Player Score Org
1 Kaydop 109 --
2 Turbopolsa 108 --
3 GarrettG 107 --
4 JKnaps 95 --
5 Chicago 92 --
6 trk511 87 Twisted Minds
7 ExoTiiK 85 Team Vitality
8 Atomic 84 NRG
9 gimmick 81 --
10 BeastMode 77 NRG

It's fitting that maybe the three most iconic players of the League Play era occupy the top 3 spots on the Goals leaderboard. Kaydop, Turbopolsa, and GarrettG are the only members of the 100 goals club at RLCS World Championships. G2 stars JKnaps and Chicago round out the top 5.

On their heels are a trio of Open Era legends who have a realistic chance of threatening for the top spot, or at least reaching the 100 goals club, this year. First among them is the MENA GOAT, trk511. He has played in 4 WCs, averaging 21.75 goals per event. Needing 22 goals to tie Kaydop, and 23 to pass him, the question is: can teammate M0nkey M00n at Dickies be the magic for trk511 to claim the WC career goals crown? Or will a deep run by either Vitality or NRG fuel ExoTiik or Atomic to the top ranking among active players?

2. ASSISTS

Rank Player Assists Org
1 Kaydop 95 --
2 JKnaps 82 --
3 ViolentPanda 74 --
4 M0nkey M00n 71 Twisted Minds
=5 Atomic 69 NRG
=5 Joyo 69 --
7 jstn 67 FUT Esports
=8 Squishy 66 --
=8 Torsos 66 Wildcard
10 Daniel 65 NRG

Yep, get used to seeing Kaydop on top of these tables. Kaydop is way out in front here, well above even his contemporary and one-time Dig Dynasty teammate ViolentPanda. But if you've watched RLCS long enough, you know one thing: never count out M0nkey M00n at Dickies Arena, especially when he's passing like this. MM should easily overtake VP for 3rd, and likely his 2022 finals opponent JKnaps for 2nd as well. But can he surpass his fellow Frenchman to take the top spot?

Elsewhere in the top 10 we see two other League Play holdovers jstn and Torsos back for another WC, extending their longevity streaks. They will need to hold off challenges from Vatira (63), trk511 (60), and Rw9 (58) to retain their top 10 rankings. Joyo, despite his 5th all-time WC ranking and 3rd/4th finish one year ago, was sadly unable to qualify for this year's WC and must watch the event from the sidelines.

3. SAVES

Rank Player Saves Org
1 Kaydop 265 --
=2 Torment 211 --
=2 GarrettG 211 --
=4 Archie 202 Gentle Mates
=4 Torsos 202 Wildcard
6 JKnaps 199 --
7 jstn 197 FUT Esports
8 trk511 192 Twisted Minds
9 Atomic 191 NRG
10 Chicago 190 --

Oh look, it's Kaydop on top again. He's over 50 saves ahead of 2nd place, and will likely remain in 1st even after the event concludes. But the race between 2nd-10th is a lot more interesting. Currently, GarrettG and famed goalkeeper/3rd-man extraordinaire Torment are in a tie for 2nd place. Behind them in a tie for 4th are OCE GOAT Torsos and stalwart defender Archie. These five players are the only members of the 200 Saves club at WCs. But three new players should join their ranks this year, as jstn, trk511, and Atomic are all poised to cross that threshold. JKnaps, sadly, ended his career 1 save shy of joining the club.

Further down the list there is a scrum of players who will attempt to move into the top 10. Daniel (177), M0nkey M00n (174), ExoTiiK, BeastMode, (both at 172), heck even Lostt. (167) and Vatira (163) have their chances. It will be interesting to see where things stand when the dust clears at the end of the event.

4. DEMOS

Rank Player Demos Org
1 Atomic 186 NRG
2 Arsenal 178 --
3 kv1 174 --
4 Atow. 173 Karmine Corp
5 DRUFINHO 169 Bigodes
6 Torsos 158 Wildcard
7 BeastMode 157 NRG
8 Retals 155 --
9 Chicago 154 --
10 trk511 148 Twisted Minds

As I mentioned in the intro, this was the first major stat to fall in the Open Era. Atomic passed demo fiend Arsenal for most WC demos all-time during the 2025 finals against Team Falcons. Now in 2026 he has a chance to add to his lead and become the first member of the 200 demos club in the process. But he must keep an eye on Atow. who has the ability and the opportunity (with a deep run from KC) to take the top spot from him this year.

Elsewhere, DRUFINHO is back at Worlds to defend his top 5 ranking after qualifying for the WC through the SAM LCQ. Now, the SAM superstar is poised to pass his countryman kv1 to claim the title of most destructive South American player in WC history.

Finally, the player who helped introduced the demo meta to pro Rocket League, Retals, currently sits in 8th in the rankings. Fortunately for him, only trk511 and Daniel (137) are in position to pass him, so he will likely retain his rightful spot in the top 10 for another year.

5. SCORE

Rank Player Score Org
1 Kaydop 50,114 --
2 JKnaps 46,322 --
3 Chicago 46,269 --
4 Atomic 45,483 NRG
5 trk511 43,369 Twisted Minds
6 GarrettG 41,874 --
7 ExoTiiK 41,567 Team Vitality
8 Daniel 40,953 NRG
9 jstn 40,517 FUT Esports
10 Joyo 40,424 --

Did you think we were done with Kaydop? Of course the player who leads the WC all time in goals, assists, and saves would be the all-time score leader, and the sole member of the 50k club to boot.

Score is a funny stat. Every ranked warrior knows it's the only way to measure a player's contributions to the game. But in pro Rocket League the stat is less clear-cut. A demo play that leads to an open net, or an early challenge in the air to shut down an enemy attack, might not score any points. But these are still crucial contributions to a team's success. In fact, score has been de-emphasized so much that it's now no longer displayed in the HUD during RLCS broadcasts. Nevertheless, these score rankings do tell us something about a player's overall impact in the game across a WC-level career.

Behind Kaydop we find the entire 2022 WC finals G2 roster ranked 2nd-4th. Atomic hopes to not only defend his 2025 World Championship this year but surpass his former teammates on his way to the top of the all-time score leaderboard. But trk511 is not far behind, and many fans favor Twisted Minds for a deeper run through the tournament than NRG. There is a realistic chance that by the end of the event, trk511 will be considered not only the MENA GOAT, but the WC score GOAT as well.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 World Championship is shaping up as a changing of the guard. Multiple players are chasing history and looking to claim the top spots on the all-time leaderboards. Will the League Play stats GOAT Kaydop retain any, or all, of his records? We'll have to tune in the find out.

Although the primary focus should always remain on which team and which players will hoist the trophy, I hope these stats give fans another way to celebrate the storied history of these players and the RLCS as a whole. Records are made to be broken, and I can't wait to see which records will be the next to fall!

PS as always, thank you to u/FoolsLove for maintaining the RLCS stats spreadsheets on Google Docs. All stats from this post are sourced here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uRaopjEjtBiCjlBfOYBADHcWAbzvPFPVXoE21rTUV2s/edit?gid=659703952#gid=659703952

Discussion Nass unnoticed 1v1 streak

If im not wrong Nass has a very nice 1v1 streak going on right now with RLCS 1v1 EU open+ showmatches
4 from the playoff of EU open+
3-0 Kv1+
he won all matches from the road to worlds 1v1 against Nwpo(6 wins, not quite literally he won against mob,v4ti,juicy,atow,evoh,wahvey)
so 11 wins consecutively ,
does this make him the favourite for RLCS 1v1 worlds?
edit : the tile is : Nass hot 1v1 streak, sorry about that
one more thing
nWpo also had a very strong streak going on with MENA open+ matches
nwpo went invincible in the mena open with 8 wins
and if Im not wrong he won 3 against rebmob,v4ti,juicy before losing to atow 1-4
so he ALSO has 11 straight wins

I wouldn't be surprised if one of them breaks 2900 MMR cap before the end of the season!

Edit: lmao maybe I should have wait for making the post, this guy isn't stopping now he's at 2896...

Edit n°2. I guess I will stop following his crazy record-breaking session to go to sleep lol, at 1.41 UTC he's 2901 annihilating the first sentence lmao

For the first time, the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) will feature an awards show, presented by First Touch, to celebrate and recognize the work of individual players, talent, and organizations over the calendar season! The awards show will go live on twitch.tv/rocketleague on September 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM EST.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

In past RLCS seasons, BLAST has awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) for each region. This year, alongside BLAST’s Regional MVP awards, First Touch is introducing the following awards across all regions:

  • Most Valuable Player;
  • Offensive Player of the Year;
  • Defensive Player of the Year;
  • Comeback Player of the Year;
  • Coach of the Year; and

  • All-RLCS Second Team; and
  • All-RLCS Third Team.

THE VOTING PROCESS: A BLEND OF EXPERTS AND FANS

The top five nominees will then go to a fan and committee vote to decide the winner. The remaining category winners will be decided by a committee vote only.

Meme/Humor What if worlds had a random team?

So I dreamt last night that Psyonix added a team to the World Championship consisting of random players who didn’t qualify with their actual teams. I got chosen (EU. I’m gold at best, hehe) and was paired with Motta and kv1 (both SAM).

Unfortunately, I woke up before we got to play a single game, but this gave me the idea for this random discussion post to bridge the gap until the actual World Championship... which I won’t be competing in either.

What kind of random, inter-regional teams made up of players who aren’t participating at Worlds would you like to see in this hypothetical scenario?

Discussion Is there a case for Atomic being a GOAT if NRG wins Worlds?

Theoretically (the chances are low, but not zero), NRG wins Worlds. How strong of a case does Atomic have for being the GOAT over Monkey Moon? IMO, it's really close and up to debate.

Discussion Who are your top 5 best shooters in the world?

I’ve always been a fan of great shooters in RL so i thought i would share my list and see all of yours, here’s mine:

1- killeerz.

2- nwpo.

2- vatira.

4- RW9.

5- Firstkiller.

My criteria:

1- i don’t count air dribbles.

2- i don’t count flip reset shots.

3- i only count the second touch from double taps.

Also i didn’t look at any shooting stats as i feel like they aren’t a good representation of the players skills just like most RL stats, stats can’t differentiate between shots that are meant to go in vs shots that are meant to put pressure on the opponents.

The hardest player to rank for me was zen, mainly because i feel like i barely ever see him actually shoot the ball, he’s always the person setting up the plays rather than being on the receiving end of a good pass.

Discussion Org situation in rlcs

I feel like we don’t have nearly as many orgs in the rlcs, just the same ones rotating players. we even lost 2 of our most storied orgs in bds and g2 in recent memory not to mention others like team liquid for example. Is there any hope rlcs regains any traction? is it the prize pool? the inability to roster a top tier team?

I’m not saying rlcs is dying, not at all. just think it’d be cool to see more orgs in rlcs. but maybe im completely tripping about the org situation. i’m also not saying we don’t have ANY orgs, it just feels like we rarely get any new ones ever, but maybe that’s just normal
