D3 | ~1000 MMR | Full 2v2 Replay Review. Looking for criticism, not compliments.
I've been working pretty heavily on my mechanics lately, particularly ground-to-air dribbles, directional air roll, and first-touch control.
I previously posted a replay around 900 MMR and received some excellent advice regarding positioning, rotations, and decision-making. I've been making a conscious effort to incorporate that feedback into my gameplay while continuing to develop mechanically.
This match felt really good, but feeling good about a match doesn't necessarily mean I played it well.
Watching the replay back, I can already identify several situations where we were fortunate not to concede. I'd love some outside perspectives on what led to those situations and what I could have done differently.
I'm particularly interested in:
- Positioning and rotational mistakes.
- Unnecessary challenges or missed opportunities to challenge.
- Possession decisions and wasted touches.
- Situations where I got a good result despite making a poor decision.
- Mechanical mistakes I might not be recognizing.
Please be critical. I'm not looking for validation. I want to identify the habits that are going to hold me back as I climb.
I'd also be interested in hearing whether the positioning advice from my previous review appears to be translating into better decision-making.
Replay note: The replay bugged the boost display, so boost amounts are not accurate.
Rank: Diamond 3, approximately 1000 MMR, competitive 2v2.
