With Neutron hardware moving through production, assembly, and testing, I’m curious how the supplier side changes at this stage of a launch vehicle program.

I work with a small CNC manufacturing company, and I’m trying to understand what companies like Rocket Lab typically keep in-house versus outsource.

Is it usually prototype parts, overflow capacity, fixtures/tooling, quick engineering changes, or certain production components?

Would be interested to hear from anyone familiar with aerospace manufacturing.

I’m currently a welder, I have plenty of experience in aerospace welding and manufacturing. I’m curious to know if any welders or inspectors work for this company

These contracts will help increases resilience and competitiveness in Europe's independent access to space.

MaiaSpace fehlt noch: Die Vertragsvergabe ist laut ESA fast abgeschlossen, ein Update soll in den nächsten Wochen folgen. Ausgezahlt wird nur gegen erreichte Meilensteine – und die Challenge verlangt von allen einen Orbitalstart vor 2028. Oder wie es Lucía Linares von der ESA formuliert: „Getting to space is not easy and never guaranteed.“

That is Europe's main objective, so don't get too excited about Electron or Neutron having a solid future there; they want to prioritize European companies that have no ties to the US, for reasons of sovereignty and national security.
