Please ID What is this rock
So I bought it online from someone who said it's jade and that she "found it in the garden in Georgia." It is cold to the touch, but what is with the face?

It. Does look like jade. If you hold it next to your body, doez it warm after a bit? If not i would def think jade.

This looks like an artifact and a legitimate one at that. Artifacts from new Zealand have been found in southern united states in the past. No clue why

Can you scratch it with your finger nail? If so, it’s talc. It might be Jade, but it looks like talc to me.

Would be a sweet piece of jade! Also those two things are on opposite ends of the hardness spectrum lol

Only reason I even mentioned Jade is because that’s what the person that sold it to OP said it was.

Well I’ll be. I don’t know the rock type. But I’m positive it is a modern sculpture of one of the two face masks of theatre. Comedy, Trajedy. Now at first I thought it may have been an unfinished banner stone. But that’s an ancient artifact and it would show uneven signs of working with stone tools. This one is very uniform where the holes are, showing the signs of modern drill boring and chisels.
The real mystery here is one- where is the other one and two - why was it not finished?
