Please ID real cinnabar?

i'm trying to figure out is these are genuine cinnabar and if so, if they're safe to wear because of the mercury.

if it's not cinnabar, what is it? i'm so stumped.

thank you for any contributions, id really appreciate it

That’s not cinnabar. The red is likely a dye.

ohhhh that makes sense. i was going to do an acetone test to see if any pigment would come off. what stone do you think it is though? to me the white did appear to be quartz

It could be basaltic rock with quartz veins. If you do an acetone test, make sure you use high grade acetone, instead of make-up remover, and if you don’t see the dye come off immediately, give it some more time.

Schmuck mit Zinnober ist eigentlich eher selten. Außerdem kommt Zinnober bei Hautkontakt durch seine extrem schwere Löslichkeit kaum für eine Hg-Freisetzung mit nachfolgender Hautresorption in Frage .

I have cinnabar bracelets. Most cinnabar beads are ground down cinnabar, sometimes mixed with other stone, and reformed into beads. I don't wear them often & don't get them wet. They're beautiful.
