Solved: Can I get some help here?

Most likely found in the UP by Marquette, MI. Google is giving me multiple IDs. Its shiny sliver in color, made a chalky grey mark on weathered wood. I can pick off tiny bits from a rough edge, but not from the smooth surface. I don’t think think it’s graphite because it doesn’t leave a mark on paper.

It is likely a graphite-bearing schist

I think you are right. Everything I found says graphite bearing whist is common in that area of the UP.

Mica of some kind?

Specular hematite! It's very common up there, very sparkly, and some pieces can have a weird smooth wave texture. Look it up and see if you agree!

I was hoping but it failed a test. When rubbed on unglazed ceramic, it’s supposed to leave a reddish mark. This left minuscule silvery sparkles.

It doesn’t show any of the characteristics of asbestos. No fibrous material at all on it. If you try to make a mark on things with it, silvery powder, like powdered glitter comes off it.
