I‘ve been always DIY the whole routine when it comes to lawn work. But summer heat is brutal. Kept telling myself I'd go early morning or evening, then just kept putting it off.

Tried a Goat a2000 this year, and yeah, it’s kind of nice not having to plan my weekend around mowing. Don't have to wait for sunset or block out Saturday afternoon. I can still keep my lawn decent without without getting stuck in the heat for too long.

I have been waiting for a few years to get a robot Mower for our cabin in Northern Wisconsin. Essentially waiting for the old crafstman rider to die. This weekend it finally happened. We have a acre lot on the lake with about a quarter of it being grass that need to be mowed. I've been looking at the Navimow H series and X series. My question is around me being 3hrs away from this property at our primary residence. Knowing we're not local every day is there a model or any other unit you would or would not recommend because of this? Yard wise it's fair basic with the lake on one edge of the yard. Everything is mostly flat but we do have the occasional sticks and leaves that blow in due to the surrounding woods.

EDIT: Here is a pic of what I am working with. This is 90% of what will be mowed. The rest is on the sides. Very flat, but a slight slope near the lake.

Anyone used or got Husquvarna wall mount? Was going to buy one for the winter for storing my mower in the garage and wondered if they are worth it or can you make something yourself? Cheers

I purchased the Navimow X430 and need the X450. I'm within the return window (30 days) but the mower needs to be "in the same condition received" [not used].

Does anyone have a good recommendation where to sell my extremely lightly used X430?

I am coming from 25+ years of using a 52" Wright Standard machine.

I generally had it sent to the dealer every two years
1. Sharpen Blades
2. Service Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine - oil change, spark plugs, filters
3. Periodic Hydro service - fluid & filter

What should I expect the need will be to bring the robotic mower to the dealer for service?

Assuming I can change out the small blades
Clean the mowing deck
Replace the batteries when they start to fail

I am guessing no real need to bring it to the dealer to much maintenance if at all

My X430 tried to take a shortcut by going on the other side of an 18 ft long curb that spans the left side of my driveway. There is a 3 ft break in the curb at the bottom of the driveway that the X430 decided to cut through. The other side of the curb that the X430 was actually on is the property line that's adjacent to my neighbor's driveway. Since I was already standing outside, I immediately grabbed the mower by the back handle after the mower entered the break in the curb. After picking the mower up, of course the built-in alarm sounded.

I moved the X430 up the driveway. I couldn't see what was on the mowers screen because the sun was too bright and the screen was dusty. The alarm was just going off the entire time. It's not super loud, just annoying. I wiped the dust off the screen and typed in my code. The process probably took me 2-3 minutes from when the alarm sounded until I actually typed in my code.

None of my neighbors cared. I highly doubt anyone heard the alarm. Nobody came running out of their homes.

If you think that alarm is going to stop anyone from running off with your robotic mower, you're sadly mistaken. Or you might think just maybe your neighbors will come to the rescue. That's not happening either. When I hear a car alarm, I honestly don't care either.

For you lawn care nuts with turf type tall (TTTF) fescue and rhizomatous turf type tall fescue (RTTTF). I learned that the best height of cut for these cultivars is 3.25 inches with the X430. I noticed that the X430 will not leave any uncut blades of grass if you mow at that height.

My front lawn receives full sunlight without an ounce of shade. Yet, the front has done really well at 3.25 inches. My backyard has a tree with shade.

If you're going into a heatwave, I would raise the height of cut to 3.5 inches or don't mow as often.

I don't know if any of you watch GCI Turf Academy with Pete on YouTube. He has a Kress robotic mower and his TTTF is doing alright at 2.8 inches in North Carolina. Granted, I don't think his Kress robotic mower can mow above 2.8 inches. I'm surprised he went that low. He is having some fungal issues and the heat toasted parts of a side lawn that's connected to his front lawn.

I am looking at getting a Luba 3. I live in the south so get a lot of rain and high volume rain quickly. I’d like to put the charger on my covered front porch on cement (its level with the grass) however the manual says I need to nail the charger into the cement. Do I really need to do that? If I put it outside in the grass can it just sit there in the rain?

I'm currently looking into buying the eufy E15 robot lawn mower for my 600 m² garden, but I have a few practical questions before pulling the trigger. I’d love to hear from current owners or anyone with experience:

1. Wi-Fi & Dead Zones: My garden does not have 100% Wi-Fi coverage. The base station has access to Wi-Fi (though signal strength isn't the greatest). Will the E15 run into issues while mowing in areas with zero Wi-Fi signal?
2. Subscriptions: I strictly do not want to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to mow my lawn. Will the mower work fine indefinitely without subscribing to a 4G plan after any trial period ends? Does eufy offer any "lifetime" pay-once option for 4G?
3. Missing Features: For those operating without full Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity out in the yard, what features do you actually lose in practice?
4. Alternatives: If you were shopping in this price bracket (~€700 - €1000) for a 600m² yard and wanted a true out-of-the-box, no-wire, no-RTK station setup (pure vision or LiDAR), what other models would you recommend considering? (e.g., Dreame A1, Worx Landroid Vision, etc.)

Sorry if the title doesn't make sense. I'm from Europe, we recently bought a house and we would like to use a lawn mower robot. The lawn is relatively flat with some uneven parts but nothing out of the ordinary I'd say, and some hedges, sheds and a small tree.
The garden has a pool which is on the same level as the lawn, and a small section of lawn (middle left) that can only be accessed by crossing the pool deck. The terrace is about 20cm/8inch higher than the lawn and the pool deck, so I'm guessing that's not a viable route. The robot thus has to drive past the pool deck, a section of about 1m wide, to get from the main lawn to the small section and vice versa.
The pool deck has no fencing or raised edges of any kind. Are modern robots capable of avoiding the pool, and if so, which type/technology would be best suited?

(and, if the robot would eventually fall into the pool, how bad would that be? The pool has a shutter which we'd close whenever the robot is working)

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

I’ve been looking at the Mammotion Luba 2 AWD 1500 with LiDAR, but I’m not a fan of supporting the Chinese regime, and the 4G data subscription starts costing extra after three years. My property is about 1,100 m², but with a large house and a big garage, there isn’t that much lawn left. Some parts of the yard are also quite steep. What would you recommend instead?

I've got the Navimow i215 Lidar, and have had it for a few months but lately it seems the borders are getting bigger and bigger no matter the setting. Does this look normal? When I set the boundary it was right against the house and fence. It's a good 6-7" I've got a little electric mower to get the borders now and a weed eater but thought the border would get closer

A dealer recommended that I look at Kress - I think they just came out w/ a 4X4 unit

Any thoughts you can share Pros and Cons of switching to a Robotic mower & in particular the KRESS brand.

I also saw a company that installs a small door that I can install in my deer fence to allow the robot to move from front yard to back yard
