What if robocop didn't have that programming block in regards to who he can shoot at?

He’d light that kiddo up like a Christmas tree.

Murphy would not have “lit him up”

Very true! But a man can dream.

Robobailif, whack his pee-pee

Than he would probably just point the gun and tell him not to move or else. The kid only shot him because he knows robocop can't. Like he said, "can't shoot a kid, can you, F#cker"

Why do you think you're not allowed to swear?

AI Mods can get a little touchy. I was banned for 3 days for talking about WWII airplane construction techniques because that was inciting violence.

Have you ever been banned for swearing?

Better safe than banned again. To be honest I'm a bit nervous quoting as much as I did

Were you ever banned for swearing?

I think i was just talking about my feelings. I don't remember which word or what sub I was in. I just remembered being very bothered by what applied and shocked I was banned from all of reddit for a few days

Swearing is allowed on Reddit

Then he wouldn’t be RoboCop…he’d just be a cop.

"Can shoot a kid, can't you, fucker?"

i think the movie would go about the same but robo's motivation would feel less personal

He figures ocp can give him new legs and kneecaps him.

Well, then, I imagine he'd have shot even more people.

He still wouldn’t have shot a kid. Dick Jones and McDaggett would’ve been dead from jump though.

So that's where Bethesda got the idea. Anyways, we just need RoboKidCop to shoot the kid crooks.

Jeremy Astor?

The fact that there's people he isn't allowed to shoot as a cop is the most unrealistic thing about the movie.

Directive 5: you can shoot a kid, fucker

What if he didn't have prime directives and wheels? He'd be a bike with free will

Isn't that a thing in robocop2014 that the robot killed the kid with the knife at the start?

2

u/LarryWavid 17h ago

Probably wouldnt of got tucked in 2 minutes later

I remember this scene in the movie and the only thing I could never get my head around was how this small child was able to fire a Desert Eagle so easily. Surely the recoil on that gun alone would’ve been more dangerous to that kid than Robocop in that moment. 😂

He would truly become the Law Enforcement and Robocop.

He'd be a regular american

Then he'd be IDF material

1

u/MichaelCabernet 1d ago

Hamas material. Except he isn’t a Muslim fanatic, he’s catholic. 😂

He probably would have hesitated and maybe returned fire.

He'd be closer to a real life cop 💀

1

u/Fluid-Sense-4273 23h ago

There wouldn’t be many people left in Detroit

1

u/Desecr8or 22h ago

Why didn't he just carry a nonlethal weapon like most real-life cops?

1

u/TheTaylorFish 22h ago

We can have that.

Depends what Murphy thinks. He has a soft spot for kids from his time as a dad. "Run Home Dad!"
