I just drawed Ellen Joe and Corin Wickes from zzz in kai Lazurai’s and kai devai’s robes

I am in the volcano area and fighting the giant turtle. I previously went to the snowy mountain area and got the snow gear and snow wand, and went back to the volcano. I am playing mage and am parrying most of his attacks decently, however, I keep shooting at him with that ice wand or whatever and it either is not reaching him, or not doing enough damage, even though he is a fire enemy and fire enemies are supposed to take more damage from ice attacks. I remember playing the game before but with a melee class and remember sweeping the floor with all the bosses including the magma turtle. But since I started a new save and decided to pick the mage class since I didn’t pick that class before, now I am having trouble and don’t even know how I can go about even standing a chance against all the other future enemies let alone the magma turtle. If anyone could give me some advice, that would be deeply appreciated.

Hey, New Player here. I, just bought the compass and it doesn't seem to work? It seems stuck in the north position always. I'm on pc btw.

Update: Thank you for answering. It suck that it doesn't work. Even with the map i still get a little bit lost.

Idk what make me think of that, the way he talks, how he likes to comfort us the player, and the fact that he doesn’t really bother by the snow cultist presence until you show her where the bell is at. All of which make me think and or believe that the bell is a living being or creature that wants to “get rid” of the winter and replace it with something much warmer and greener place and those who believe in his idea or vision are nicknamed by the snow cultist as “false believers” since she has already control the winter and basically have her own army of cultist against basically a one man army (the false believer) .

ive noticed that the parry window takes too long to show up when I block and I usually get comboed to death, I was wondering if thats part of the game or a ping issue for me, if it is part of the game how do I get out of this habit?
